We had a lovely dinner here! The food and atmosphere are wonderful, and there’s enough wine in one glass to feed two people ?. I’d recommend it of you’re in the neighbourhood.

It was late Saturday afternoon and we was not sure this place would be open. I know this place is popular so we were chuffed to get a seat as long as we were away within an hour and a half. That was plenty time for us. This place is located on the high street in Burghead there is plenty parking nearby. I was not very adventurous as I went for the fish and chips and it was lovely. It was a generous helping.I would certainly recommend you book ahead to avoid disappointment especially if you plan an evening visit. It was not too busy when we were here but I can imagine it would be quite crowded later on.

Our party enjoyed meals on two separate occasions when we were staying in Burghead. We had reserved tables in advance, highly recommend you do this. The food was outstanding. Lots of delicious fresh fish dishes and other meals. The service was friendly and efficient. I would definitely visit again if I was in the area.

Just a very special place. We wished we'd been able to spend more than an hour here! We had to rush our lunch a bit to go off riding nearby but goodness the food was wonderful. (Very rich though. ) lovely decor and staff excellent.

Service was sporadic! Had to ask 3 times for bread to go with a chowder and lemon water and dish for shells from mussels. Mussels extremely small and sauce had texture of water. Was offered replacement but rest of party had almost finished their meal so just ate it . Second starter arrived after reminding staff we hadn’t received it . We were sharing starters and other starter was finished before second one arrived! Not even a free coffee for the fact I didn’t enjoy meal and service was bad! Won’t be rushing back.

We had visited this bistro before lockdown and found the food to be very good. We returned this September 2023 and what a difference! I think it must have changed hands. We were told to find a seat but were not offered a menu. There was a specials board which consisted of three items, one of which was for sharing. My husband went back to the counter and asked for the menu. The choice was not good as we don't eat meat. There was no indication on the menu as to whether the meals were vegetarian, gluten free, vegan. We got very little in our plate for the price. I had mackerel pate which was accompanied by fingers of bread which was so hard l thought it was going to break my teeth. Will not be visiting again.

I’ve eaten at The Bothy a couple of times and both times it’s been exceptional. I had the haddock and chips and it was brilliant - I love the atmosphere in here it’s loud and vibrant and everyone is very friendly. They serve a non alcoholic Brewdog beer and the burger looked incredible. The puddings however are the real show stoppers - The knicker bocker glory is a sight to behold!Parking: Plenty of parking nearby down at the harbour a couple of minutes walk away

I park outside to go to pharmacy next door and keep getting asked to review. I have heard the place is top notch. The pharmacy team however are 'kin outstanding. ?all around for them!Parking: Depends on time of day. Usually at worst there is somewhere very short walk away.Wheelchair accessibility: Fairly sure no problems with access. Maybe kerbs if parking a little away opposite side of road. Nobody parks on pavement here. Blessed to live somewhere % of a'holes per square metre very, very, very low.

A nice place to eat and drink and to rest your legs. It was hard to spot, and I'd passed it many times by car without realising it was a place to eat.Service was friendly but slow. We had the Cullen Skink, pizza marinara, and carrot hummus and finished it all. Tea was good, but why not fill the small pot with hot water instead of half filling it?Overall, it is a warm and inviting place, reasonable priced and serving good food.

A truly exceptional night out for our family who numbered 32. The minute we all arrived nothing was too much trouble for the staff of this establishment. The main room had been set out with 3 tables just as I had booked yet it was so much better than I expected. The real star of the show was the food. 3 courses ( all pre-ordered ) just amazing. When you are catering for this number and people have come a long way you worry. Ashley specifically told me to relax, this was her job. She meant it. Every dish was immaculate and our every wish was pre-empted. One of our guests was in a wheelchair: no problem. She left early and was given her pudding to take home. A small detail you might think. Not for her. An unforgettable night. Thank you.

We came here for brunch and dinner. Fab fish and chips, nice surroundings, friendly and efficient service from staff.

A great find for food. Had heard good things about this place so last weekend we took a break up on the coast and went along. Super Seafood, fresh, local and cooked to perfection in a cosy restaurant with a great varied menu. Prices were very reasonable and service matched, well done all at BB. Will be back in October
