The Lossie Chip Shop
29 Queen St, LossiemouthDrove 45 minutes for the fish and chips here, and well worth it. There was a queue of 10 people ahead of me, but service was quick and efficient, so was served within 20 minutes. Apart from being super efficient, the staff were really friendly and chatty to everyone, whether regulars or visitors like us.The super fresh haddock broke into thick, tasty, meaty flakes. The batter wasn't soggy but had just the right crispiness without being crunchy and overdone. The chips were just perfect; the balance of the crispy outside and soft fluffy potato inside was sublime. From East Yorkshire I prefer my fish and chips cooked in beef dripping, but these were the best cooked in oil I've ever eaten. So just 10/10 rather than 11/10!

Bridge45
20 Clifton Rd, LossiemouthWe booked the day before for a table of 8, child and a dog. The lady on the phone was very accommodating and allowed us to book outside which they dont usually allow. On arrival one waitress appeared a bit stressed there was a table of eight coming in which I was surprised about as its a big restaurant. The menu had a fantastic selection. The food came and was delicious, fish lasagne, lamb, special steak and steak surf and turf are all delicious. We had a lovely view outside and the dog was very comfortable. Fabulous food with great service. I would definitely return!!

The Firth
6A Clifton Rd, LossiemouthWe found this place by accident when we ended up in Lossiemouth in our campervan. What an unexpected gem! Cosy atmosphere, staff were nice and the food was wonderful! We had the Thai chicken noodle soup (wow!!), parmesan and truffle chips (great portion) cheesy garlic mushrooms (yum) and cajun chicken strips (glorious)....then came the garlic bread....the only reason they get 4 stars not 5. Everything else was freshly made and so tasty, but the garlic bread was those awful pre-made frozen slices which are tastless. So disappointing as the rest of the food was simply wonderful!! I would definitely recommend a visit, just avoid the garlic bread. We would 100% go back again next time we are in the area.

Firth Hotel & Resturant
5 Clifton Rd, LossiemouthAte in the restaurant today and the food was fantastic. They cater to everyone (vegan menu!) and the service is friendly and efficient. Child friendly with options of highchairs and space to get a pushchair in. The view from the window is beautiful and it's got a lovely dog friendly section too. Would definitely recommend! My partner had the calamari and said it was cooked perfectly and I would highly recommend the teriyaki tofu

The Salt Cellar
20 Clifton Rd, LossiemouthWe have recently moved upto Scotland and decided to have Lunch at the sea salt cellar. Lovely setting with a warm proffessional feeling. My wife had a large glass of Merlot ( reasonably priced) The prime beef Sunday roast followed by Sticky toffee pudding and custard. I had the Sunday special trio meat and the sticky toffee pudding with ice-cream. We had a pot of tea to wash it all down !! All this for £39.90 which was excellent value compared to some places. There is a upstairs fish resturant which was closed, we will be back in the summer to try it out.
