Basil Harbour Cafe
136 Harbour St, NairnExtensive menu, 3 pages, including breakfast items (served all day), hot sandwiches, soups, etc. Another whole page of drink options. Portions were more than adequate; a side order of chips fed 3 of us. All of us were very pleased with our choices: french toast, croque Monsieur, and one I don't remember! A latte, a flat white and a cappuccino rounded it out, all for £36. Quick, cheerful, efficient service. What's not to like? I'll be back.

james's
Marine Rd, NairnWent with the wife and kids today for some hot chocolate. The wife and kids loved it, I have to be honest it’s one of the poorest hot chocolates in Nairn. Now, I gave 5 starts because this was my taste and not the general. The staff were friendly, the service was quick and the seating with blankets on a cool day is amazing.

Makes By Megs MNM's cafe
11A Leopold St, NairnPeople likely come here for the chunky cakes, cookies and the like. They had a wide choice and many sounded quite opulent and filling. Also on offer was paninis and breakfast rolls, along with hot and cold drinks. All generally good, if a little scant on fillings in places but no real complaints. Will be back to try some more of the cakes
