Harvester Potters Kiln Lowestoft

Was a lovely family atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff. The seating was great as I booked a table for 8. Everything was table service apart from helping ourselves to the salad. Food was great except for the chicken stack as the chicken breast is butterflied and grilled making it tough and inedible as was too dry and burnt. Rest of meal was lovely.

Shish Anatolia

Thought we would give this restaurant a try as came highly recommended. Service was excellent, staff very friendly. Thought food was a little expensive but portions were good. A very nice complementary appertizer was served and then we shared a platter for two. This was of ample portions, in fact too much meat really but a little disappointed that it all tasted the same, was expecting more spicy flavours. We took the left overs home for the dog.Restaurant very nice inside, but I'm going to be critical and say lighting a bit too bright and very noisy on this occasion.

Oulton Road Fish & Chip Shop

I ordered my food online and arrived to collect it, the service from the staff was very helpful and friendly,even though the shop was full of customers. They remained pleasant, polite and friendly to each other and the customers.

Spring Tide

Jenny is an excellent host (all the staff are but we were served by Jenny). We take our service dog Athena in and the first thing after seating us is not what would you like but "Let me grab a bowl of water for Athena". The doggie menu is unique - never seen one before so Athena had rump steak and veg.

Lowestoft Tandoori

After living in London for over 20-years, Lowestoft Tandoori is by far one of the best restaurants I've been to in terms of food and service. The food is just incredible! - it get's better, the takeaway food is of the same superior quality, making this place is an absolute gem!Parking: There are a couple of paid for car parking options near by, and you might be able to snap-up a free car parking space on the street depending on the time of day. If you are walking from one of the paid-for car parking options, it's only about a 5-8 minute walk depending on your walking speed. Well worth the walk as well!

Stanford Arms

Easily the best pub in Lowestoft. The range of beers (mainly craft ales) are both exciting and often delicious. The atmosphere is congenial and the layout makes this a very comfortable pub in which to spend your afternoon/evening. Five stars indeed and deserved.

Lady of the Lake

This is a lovely pub, the service was lovely if a little slow, when it is busier another person would be essential. It was a chilly day when we visited and a little more heat would be much appreciated, we will return. Lovely food, friendly staff.

Shake & Cake

What a lovely gem of a place! These lovely girls, agreed to help us with popping a donation pot up for us for our selected charity, we are so grateful! Also we stayed and both had a crazy shake and then stayed for round two and had two more! My partner and I remarked on how good the value for money was and how delicious they were! Awesome place! Thanks a lot girls

I cant recommend this place enough!!!Tasty and quality food, especially their pizza ( you can tell its very fresh as soon as you take a bite from it)Portion size is perfect.Customer service and delivery just what I expect from take away shop. They show extra care to their customers.Thank you.

Im not a lowestoft local, ive travelled all over the UK and can safely say these guys do the best burgers ive had in the UK. Really creative and original options, always taste amazing. Ignore the clueless 1 star reviewer who moaned about the prices for 'just a burger' without trying it. Probably set you back about the same as a five guys for a burger and one of their delicious loaded fry options, and this is far superior. Wish they still did dine in as I bet that was a great experience, but their takeaways are still amazing

Lovely food cooked at a very good quality. The fish was cooked perfectly and the chips, although I personally don't tend to like chip shop chips, these were outstanding. I cannot fault the food at all.My only criticism would be that they could be a bit more 'hot' on their hygiene standards. Otherwise, no issues.

Golden Castle Hong Kong Restaurant

We visited for the first time this weekend. I have given 5 stars as the staff were very welcoming and the food was a 10 out of 10. We will be back for sure.I would say that the atmosphere is not the best. A bit of music and some better lighting would be good.But that did not take away from a lovely evening, and honestly the food was amazing!

The Commodore

Tanya and Nathan could not have been more accommodating, friendly and welcoming on New Year’s Eve when we came with three dogs for lunch. The food was excellent. This pub is incredibly welcoming for dog owners which is why I keep coming back!Vegetarian options: The mushroom three cheese bruschetta was truly delicious

Tasty food, although an item of the order was found to be missing by the time we got home. This wouldn't stop me from placing future orders, though, as the quality was good.

The Grill Hut

Best there is....just wow.... didn't even sit down to eat it because it was sooo good....just yummed that up as soon as I opened it..... couldn't help it.Your taste buds will scream at you to do the same....?

Wow! Not expecting anything as good as we got, completely fantastic, traditional fish and chips! The batter was incredible, the fish sublime and the chips were top-notch. Definitely be going there again. Staff really lovely too?

Crooked Barn

Went for dinner and we were the only ones there so didn't do great for the atmosphere but the service was great. We did get the wrong tables food but this was soon realised and taken to the correct table, lucky as my wife was just about to cut in to her pork dish. I had the lamb and the portion was tiny, just 2 small strips of meat, it was very tasty but certainly wasn't a great size dinner. The pork portions were a lot better and I do wish I'd ordered this dish, but the duck we also ordered was very dry and the potatoes were hard. I feel for the prices they charge for their food the quality and portion should improve. We have been here many times over the years but feel this will now be the last.

New Raj Mahal

I've lived in Lowestoft for nearly 3 years and I've struggled to find an Indian take away that I like, until tonight. My food was delicious and I'll definitely be ordering again. Top

Good value for money , like many over beefeater, s feels a bit like macdonalds for adults and there's not much wrong with that. Hard working staff on a Friday night !

Dial Your Dinner Lowestoft

I ordered lunch for 11 people to be delivered at yesterday. The staff were very helpful and courteous, the food arrived on time and hot. Very tasty food, loads of choice, we ordered 10 different items off the menu and everyone agreed it was great. Would recommend for lunch deliveries in Lowestoft. Also great value :)

Super Kitchen Chinese Takeaway

Very friendly both on the phone and in person. I had Chop Kam and Singapore noodles. Both lovely and spicy, the noodles were probably the best I've had. Came with some crispy spring rolls which were good too!

Kessingland Pizza & Kebab

First time ordering from Kessingland Pizza & Kebab and it was delicious. Food arrived hot and portion sizes were generous. The delivery man was very polite and friendly. Very full and happy customers.

Hollingsworth Road Fish & Chip Shop

The best Chippy in town authentic English chip shop, everything is cooked to perfection and the staff are amazing the only chip shop me and my family use, cannot recommend them enough!

Pizza Time

Ok my first time here the food was immense, loaded fries was really nice, big boy burger was lovely so flavourful, ribs were not as good as the rest but definitely 8 or 9 /10

New Shanghai

My wife and I fancied a takeaway following a return from a winter holiday, however our usual Chinese and Indian takeaways were closed. My wife spotted New Shanghai via a web search and we thought we would try somewhere new...and we were impressed. The website we ordered through suggested the order would be with us within the hour, however it arrived just 20 minutes after ordering, and given we live the opposite end of town, that's pretty fast. The lady who delivered the order was very friendly and cheerful. The food was plentiful and tasty...we ordered General Tso's Chicken, House Special Curry and a large Thai Fried Rice...the dishes were nicely spicy with fresh chilli pieces in the rice and a spicy sauce with the General Tso. Not only was it great food, but they provide free prawn crackers with orders over £10 and they also gave us a Chinese wall calendar for the New Year in with the bag. I was impressed. I am sure we will use New Shanghai again, based on this first order.

The Mermaid Fish Bar

We come this way for a caravan getaway with friends. This is our second visit and we cannot fault the food. The fish is so meaty and delicious, the batter is one of the best we’ve had. Chicken strips were so juicy and tasty 10/10. You’ll be missing out if you don’t come here!

How this place has only 3.4 stars is beyond me, it’s been top since the first time I visited about 15 years ago still the best lamb donner and chicken donner around also the chilli and garlic sauce home made and really good ?

New Hong Kong

Ordered a meal to be delivered, when it arrived we paid in cash plus tip.About 15 minutes later we received a call from The New Hong Kong accusing us of not paying. No matter what we said we were told they were going arrive on our doorstep and demand payment.During the call the amount that we were being accused of not paying was clearly for a different customer. We checked our address with them and they had rung the wrong number. I could hear arguing in the background where the girl said she had rung the right number but we had answered!We had a very lukewarm apology she then hung up on us without taking any responsibility for the mistake when we asked to speak to the owner.They shouldn't leave without payment, give customers receipts and this awful situation would not occur. It was a very unpleasant call, they should be very embarrassed by the way they spoke to us and hanging up on us.Seriously not impressed.Added 26/03/2023Today the owners came personally to my home address and apologised, bringing with them a large box of chocolates.That shows integrity. I am very impressed.

Rosevale B & B

We booked into Rosevale b & b for one night. We were met by Chris who welcomed us and he showed us to our room. The room was lovely and clean. There was shampoo, soap, toothpaste and spare razor provided. We were asked what time we would like breakfast and also what we wanted. We chose a full English which was delicious. Everything had been thought of. Chris and Val are a very nice couple who provide a warm welcome and a very good service.

First visit, excellent service, food is cooked to order, fish and chips were the best in the Lowestoft area as the batter was very crispy, we returned today my husband had skate he said it was lovely and I had the large cod, superb, large flakes of white fishParking: No parking available on the street so had to park in the pay and display car park and walk back

Tides Reach

Good choice of ice creams, snacks , drinks, food and more ? prices aren't crazy high. In terms of being between piers / parking it's about half way and possibly some of the better views upand down the beach ⛱️ the fish and chips here are nice tooI had the peanut butter Mr whippy which was a medium

Beach Fish & Chip Shop

We were in kessingland for NYE and after googling this place for months before, it did not disappoint. The haddock and cod was juicy and proper chip shop chips. Great prices. Best of all, the classic knickerbocker glory. Not many places still do these and it was so good. Thank you so much. Great for big groups!

Pips Fish & Chips

Great fish and chip shop , best one in town I think my opinion !!! Fish always fresh and tasty not frozen like some around here oil alway clean , and love the plaice roe when available recommended 100%

Marina Theatre

Nice little theatre, cosy feel but not too cramped. Good bar and fast service during intervals. Only one male toilet as far as I can tell from the upper section. Massive que during intervals.

Gibbs Chippy

This is a must for fish and chips in Lowestoft. In business since 1949 and the BEST haddock and chips ever. Everything is super clean. The lady who served us is very pleasant and spotlessly attired. You won't be disappointed ?

East Point Pavilion

Great place to grab a bit of food and drink. They have a cake shop, Caribbean food, traditional pie and mash and Indian. They have a bar that serves coffee, tea, smoothies, beers, wines, ciders, and cocktails.

Woodworks Art Cafe

Very kind very helpful very nice food if you like crafts and art best place I'd say out of arty venues in lowestoft it's warm cosy does great food and people are real

The Royal Oak

I love this place! Never been made to feel so welcome in a pub outside of my home town of Leeds like I do in this place. The owners are ace, the staff are amazing and locals are awesome. This is a real community pub where everyone is welcome. Karaoke on a Friday and disco on a Saturday. If I could pick it up and take it home with me I would!Really gonna miss the place until I’m back next year

The Crown

Not much of a drinker personally. Met up with my family to watch football, felt very welcomed by the happy staff. Beer was good, Happy to let grandchildren play on park as its away from the road and carpark. Didn't eat but food looked good. Tried to find menu online before I went but couldn't access one. Maybe it's only on social media which I don't do, Shame that.

Birthday bowling with friends!!Had fun & staff really helpful.Bar was packed and only one behind the bar and was overflowing and had a wait which could have been sorted out easily.Bowling all lanes full and packed which was great to see for a family business in our home town.More staff are needed so all areas yet they were brilliant & professional.

Amanda Jane's Brownie Bakes

The brownies were recommended to us by a family member and wow they were not wrong. Amazing flavours and a wide variety of flavours. We will definitely be going back and trying some more flavours. We are looking at having the brownies at our wedding as well!!

What a lovely place this is to and relax and have lovely food everyone is so welcoming and friendly and the food is cooked fresh and the portions are very generous !!!! And taste amazing , also high teas are very good too , and next door you have a garden centre , a hidden gem would. Highly recommend to anyone , I will return for sure !!! Everitt Park Café & Bar

We discovered Everitt Park cafe on our recent week away to Lowestoft, and what a find it was! The staff were lovely and the food was DELICIOUS! Eight of us had lunch on our first visit, ranging from paninis to jacket potatoes, to a full English breakfast. It all arrived promptly and was so, so good! We then revisited the cafe a few more times to pick up one of their freshly baked cakes, which were mouth-wateringly good! Highly recommended.

Dolphin fish bar and restaurant

I usually have my fish and chips delivered but today I ate in the cafe next do, chips were lovely but far too many, they are putting something in the batter as it was yellow underneath and it's making the batter too
