That’s well above average London prices for a soft drink—and this place is nowhere near London, either in location or in vibe. No rooftop views, no cocktail menus, no trendy interiors—just your standard local pub charging nearly five quid for lemonade.
I don’t mind paying a bit extra for quality, service, or atmosphere. But when a basic soft drink costs more than a pint of beer in some places, and there’s nothing to justify the markup, it just feels like you’re being taken for a ride.
Nice enough spot otherwise, but if you’re popping in for a non-alcoholic drink, be ready to pay full city-centre tourist prices… in Bedfordshire.

Honestly can’t fault this place. We are new to the area and our neighbour recommended this pub and I can see why. Super friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Dog friendly - they have free dog biscuits and even brought my dog free doggy ice cream on a hot day! We had a more formal dinner today with family and we all loved the food and got a free Easter egg to take away with us which was a great touch. We have a few pubs around us and this will definitely be our regular.

Went for a roast dinner for Mother’s Day, the food was fantastic, staff were brilliant and the place has a lovely atmosphere. They also have Hawkstone IPA on tap. Will definitely be coming back - the box of chocolate for my wife before we left was a lovely touch too great work ?

My daughter had her 21st birthday meal here last night, and she had a fantastic time. All she wanted for her 21st was her family and friends to get together for a meal. We had a private function in the marquee, which we were allowed to decorate. It was very intimate and relaxed, which was exactly what she wanted, so she could bring along her 7 month old baby. Who also had a wonderful time having snuggles with friends and family. She was able to play her own music through the speaker, which gave a nice background ambience. I had the roast lamb dinner, which was sublime- it’s my second time having a roast here and it did not disappoint. I can’t comment on everyone’s meal - but the roast dinners are amazing. I also love the way each person/family was given a tab number, so you can settle the bill at end with what food you have had and any drinks, rather than trying to work out a huge bill at the end. The staff were all very helpful and obliging. I honestly could not have wished for anything more for my daughter’s 21st birthday, and she was over the moon at how the evening went. Big thanks to Nathan for arranging it all with her.
My 3 star is because its a tidy little pub.. Food for me not so good very unwell throughout the evening it will be a 1st and last for me with no recommendations.. Service was given but not attentive enough for the party they were catering for, nobody was asked once if there food was OK nor asked of we needed anything to make is more comfortable... Atmosphere of the venue was flat and uneventful and yes a friendly pet pub but yet no 1 had the asked if we were OK with the dog running in and out of our party total disrespect and unprofessional.. Meals are not worth £30 and nothing to entertain the children. & before you respond don't bother not interested in anything you have to say.

The white hart has everything you could need for a lovely meal. Excellent atmosphere and customer service was shown. The food was incredible, and very reasonable prices for the area. The chef even came out to say thank you at the end of the meal and made sure everything was to our liking. Excellent pub and restaurant situated in a lovely village. We will be back soon.
