We were using a 30% off mains voucher, after having had 2 disappointing visits in the last 6 months. 3 of my party chose steaks. Frankly, they were inedible. We couldn't even cut them with steak knives and they were very veins and tough. We would have rated the visit as a 2, but the young lady serving us saved the day by offering us an alternative of gammon steaks. They were very good, as was the rest of the meal. Staff were welcoming and our waitress very good but we had to wait a bit for our main course plates to be cleared. Food was good but atmosphere in dining room needs a bit of brightening up. Overall a pleasant evening.
