Nice place, but pricey. I noticed most items in the auction have reserves are at or above what can be found online... then + fees.
Nice staff and a good place to sit for a coffee but we don't eat here, £14 for a sandwich is hilarious
Spot on
We have been going to this auction house for over 20 years but after today I am sad to say we won't be returning. Auctioneer nearly sent us to sleep he was so slow and uninspiring. Also put the Hammer down on my bid but changed his mind because of a late Internet bid. Not on!!
I gather the auction house has been sold and I realise everyone has the right to retire but surely someone with experience would be preferable.
Thank you Willingham for many happy days ? ?
Very rude owner (as mentioned in other reviews here), inaccurate item descriptions, poor customer service. Bit like going to back to the bad old days of 1970s auctions....
Nice cafe -Lot 25 - strange flavours! Had an avocado and smoked salmon sandwich. Avocado was liquified and so spicy. Very odd!Good service.
Super coffee and snack bar. Very pleasant surroundings and friendly staff.
Victorian Mourning brooch. Valued at £300-400, told bright gold colured metal was Nickle. I completely disagreed with this, asked to remove from action. Owner became very rude after this. Valued at Hatton Gardens £1200-1400 and 18 carot gold! Sold at another auction house for £1300. He gives the impression he knows it all…….but go with your gut, if you thought it to be worth more and made of gold, trust it and go else where. Not the first time he’s sold an item for my family. Another time sold an item below the discretionary reserve. BEWARE …..
What a great place to eat. We had the Ploughman's Lunch. Incredible. Staff very friendly & helpful. Thoroughly recommend this place to eat.
Sadly the cafe has taken away 'freedom of choice' when paying! We could not see a notice that stated 'card only/no cash' - and offered to pay in cash at the end of our meal, as we had no reason to think it would not be accepted. Even though the place was great, on principal we will choose not go again. Not everyone has cards, and if the correct amount is paid in cash we cannot see an issue. Paying by credit card can cost the customer Bank charges if they do not clear their card monthly, as well as the Cafe. Banks benefit. Cash is still legal tender.

A lovely venue with excellent food and friendly staff. A great place to go with family or to meet friends. Will certainly revisit.
Cafe is excellent
Came with a friend and a table was cleaned and ready for us very quickly. Drinks came very quickly and then the quiche was amazing! We were served by a lovely lady called Netty who was very attentive and friendly. I would recommend!
The food is amazing, such a lovely place to pop out for a meal and. drink. The staff are so friendly plus the service is so quick and efficient. Will definitely be visiting often.
