We had a lovely evening, 3 courses and a great price. Prawn skagen (a Scandi take on prawn cocktail if you will) was absolutely delicious, light but satisfying.the mains of meatballs (a classic, and way beyond ikea…) and a burger with pickles and scandi accompaniments were delicious. Have been to the Salt Bar a few times over the last few years and have always enjoyed it. Went with my daughter for dinner once more and we both had the cod dish served with a butter bean, olive, chorizo stew. The cod was cooked to perfection and the whole dish was delicious. I always have the prawn skegen starter and this too was excellent. Wine to accompany was fine and the service was friendly and efficient. Great local restaurant.

I invited a number of friends to The Salt Bar to celebrate early retirement. Food was delicious and service very good for such a large group (about 20 of us). Ease of ordering beforehand was appreciated and good range of drinks was available. Highly recommend!
