Popped in for a coffee and cake with my sister whilst in the area. And was well impressed with the place. When I asked if it was possible to have a piece of dark fruit cake with some cheese, all the staff from kitchen came out to see me as they had not heard of it before. I explained it was a Northern thing!
I offered one of the staff a tase and she was impressed with how well they go together.
Thank you all , will definitely call in again when next in New Quay (so get it on the menu)!!

Authentic Analysis

So I was on a holiday and I wanted to be all Cornish like. So I popped on over here because I read the words "tea room" as I was walking around looking for a good Cornish pasty. I'm not one for pies, but I had to have one being in Cornwall. The service was very good, they have a wonderful seating area upstairs and can you believe they have afternoon tea for 1 for £15,with a big sandwich, cakes, scone with cream and jam and tea or coffee. I saw it was large because I looked at other peoples being served. I asked the waiter if all that is for 1,ams he said yes. I was amazed! He said people do share it. Being a solo person, I stuck to trying my Cornish pasty. It was good! As mentioned before, not a pie fan, but I did finish this!

Down on holiday, searched for a decent afternoon tea on google and Pauline's was high on the list, am pleased to say we were not disappointed, the food was first class and the young lads serving were attentive and polite, couldn't ask for more....

Proper tasty food from here, great meal deals to be had, I really enjoyed the traditional pasty, there's many cakes to choose from and they have a tea room upstairs, the staff are friendly and its quite reasonably priced

Amazing experience here today.
Staff were exceptionally attentive and polite, we had to wait 20 mins or so as it was rammed, which is always a good sign.
Would definitely recommend for your holiday stop over.

If you what dry and tasteless scones accompanied watery jam and pay over the odds for them, Paulines Creamery is for you. The only good thing was the Roddas cream which they buy in. We were warned by someone outside the shop not to buy them but we didn’t listen. We have had better Scones at Tescos. Just seems Paulines Creamery are just cashing in on us visitors.

Came in for lunch while spending the day in Newquay - traditional rough and ready aesthetic but the food was very good and the staff who were mainly young lads were very friendly and helpful.

Scones / Cream teas highly recommended.

Stopped off for lunch while in Newquay - food overall was really tasty with generous portions - scones were particularly nice!

Young lads doing all their serving were absolutely rushed off their feet, couldn’t fault them at all! Very polite. We saw someone in the kitchen making scones singing their heart out, made me and my daughter smile.

Would visit again, lovely little place!

Wheelchair accessibility: Tea room is accessed via a significant number of stairs

I don't recommend this place. I expected better quality cake but it was common. The staff was very unfriendly, unprofessional and rude.
Although they have a large selection,I definitely won't go back there.
