Nice cafe in great location off noisy roads . Always nice to sit outside. Only downside is in all years I have visited i have never had good or friendly service.
I have returned more recently and the staff always seem so miserable, which I always feel is a reflection on the management. The cafe has an overwhelming air of unhappiness in what should otherwise be a fabulous space.
We love it here, always pop in for a drink or more when in Ashbourne with the dog and kids. The food and drinks are great, I'd recommend the big milk shake (beast shake, I think it's called)
Really enjoyed my first visit, great choice of food, good vegan breakfast and friendly staff. Definitely going again.
Great independent coffee house just of the high street. Fantastic breakfast with locally sourced meat and eggs, great coffee and lovely service
At last and although it's a sub brand of Coffee Nero ? a Coffee shop in Ashby that ticks most boxes. Staff that even know what an XYZ coffee is, in a friendly and helpful way.
At 1;30 in the afternoon I decided it was cafe stop time [ cycling] .
I decided that f'coffee looked a good place for this
Sunny day, so decided to seat outside in the sunshine.
There was coffee cups on nearly every outside table.
I asked for a sandwich.
We don't done food. A sandwich ?. Coffee and cake was the only the next best thing.
So coffee and cake it would be.
£8.60 .
Was expecting a lovely hot coffee and cake to die for.
Coffee was COLD, CAKE WAS VERY SMALL.
2 BITES CAKE WAS GONE AND COFFEE WAS THAT COLD I DRANK IT IN ONE GONE.
So I will never return to f'coffee.
I should have walked out after the girl . Who couldn't count the money I gave her.
It did take about 10 minutes to get the cake and coffee.
1:30 and stopped taking sandwiches. In my feeling towards this.
I probably wouldn't have been able to afford a sandwich. At f'coffee.
Oh yes, try to lower the pricing, and remove the cups from the tables
When customer have finished.
WARNING TO OTHERS THIS COFFEE SHOP IS FAR TO EXPENSIVE ×@##×'
THANK YOU.
NEVER TO RETURN
Just stopped here for a coffee, pleasant efficient staff, looked nice and clean inside.
Fantastic service and most politeful to
My favourite coffee spot in Ashbourne! The chilli hot chocolate is a must-try, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. There’s plenty of seating, and the breakfast and lunch menu is excellent—perfect for a relaxed bite or a catch-up with friends.

We visited for brunch and cake, lovely setting, delicious food and nice setting!
When we visited Ashbourne, we needed to warm up before we went shopping. Unfortunately it was cold in the cafe, only a few small heaters which weren’t very good. We decided to treat ourselves to two amazing hot chocolates, the chocolate orange and the peanut butter hot chocolates. If we ever go back to Ashbourne, we’re definitely going to try their famous cakes.
Beautifully decorated coffee shop and a lovely oat latte too ☕️
Lovely cosy cafe, dog friendly and very welcoming.Nice cakes ,lovely cappuccino with actual chocolate flakes on top.
Excellent service for food and drink. Good menu. Quite a quirky place in a really nice way and really friendly, helpful staff.
Well done.
