So tonight we ordered a big takeaway for delivery which cost us £70 we specifically said no coriander on any of the food especially the mixed grill?? And for the 3rd time in a row now it's come with coriander on it which we absolutely ? hate?? Like I said it's not for the 1st time this as happened!! The thing is when the winter comes and all the people that do not buy from shapla decide to go there for a meal or get a takeaway for a treat is all very well, we have been there all the time right the way through the years when they have hardly had anyone in and maybe trade was slow!! But we still stayed loyal!! But not anymore we are changing our loyalty to plympton spice who have always been there to pick up the peaces, and when we say no coriander we get no coriander!! Not only that you can take your own alcohol up there with no corking cost which makes a massive saving for everyone.... so needless to say thankyou plympton spice for being in our eyes the new top Indian restaurant/takeaway in plympton.

Mum, sister, and I ate at Shapla tonight. It was pretty busy, which meant there was a good atmosphere. The three waiters were attentive and very personable. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was clearly freshly prepared. My sister asked for her curry to have the tomatoes omitted, which was no problem. The dishes were delicious, and the portions were generous.
We noted that there was a steady flow of takeaway business, but this didn't interfere with service we received.

Absolutely delicious. Takeaway jalfrezi and saag aloo. Authentic flavours, rich in flavour without being overly oily, salty or sickly sweet. Very very nice and moreish! Both dishes are amazing.
The chef made my meals without dairy specially for my dietary need. Super grateful!

Even though the food was lovely when it arrived it took nearly an hour to come . We had not ordered any starters. Just eat / delivery orders seem to be prioritised . We had to move tables as it was extremely cold sat near the door as it opened. Unfortunately our male waiter had a bad personal hygiene problem which was really not pleasant in an eating establishment.

We had a wonderful meal here last week. The service was excellent, the best service I have received in a long, long time. I highly recommend the butter chicken and peshwari nan! Thank you so much for a lovely evening.
Booked a table for 5 turned up was very diaspointed to find out out my reservation had been forgotten about... it was for my work leaving meal and the so called lady tried to trick me into thinking that she had spoken to me and I didn't not even book it. After confirming that I did she disappeared and I was left with no apology from her and to go to Plympton spice who were very welcoming and would highly recommend.
