I came into this particular Pizza Express looking for part-time work - but figured I’d try the food and service first and I’m glad I did.The Fiorentina pizza was remarkable as usual - a great classic!HOWEVER. The service was particularly concerning. Had a meal with my sister during my visit to Durham centre and we had the pleasure of having Phoebe as our assistant. She was cheerful and chatty and really made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. Great work Pizza Express for finding brilliant staff. It makes for a more special experience, will definitely recommend to others??

The pizza was lovely, although I found the base to be very thin, but the size of the pizza kept it filling. It cost around £15-17 for one pizza which was far too overpriced. In total for two pizzas, with VAT, and a tip, and £12.80 off through the app, it still cost us £31.81. Much too expensive, nice for a treat but won’t be going back anytime soon.
