Its a nice pub..the bar staff are really lovely. Shame about the food. The listed 'vegan cottage pie' was basically a roast, a plate of some veg with a further side bowl filled with mashed carrots and halved small potatoes on top. Definitely no sign of any vegan mince and definately no mash potato. What a disappointment. Shocking cost at £17 for a plate of veg. The Carbonara was missing the creamy sauce and looked like whoever prepared it couldn't be bothered to dice up the bacon, as it came in large slices! There's some very odd ideas going on. An overhaul is required me thinks.

What a fabulous pub. Spent the weekend in a local camp and stop here for a break. The landlord was so open and friendly. Great music in the garden with a fabulous atmosphere and food. This really is a great traditional pub with good service. I noticed the meal portions looked very impressive.

I want to say a genuine thank you to the waitress' who served us on Sunday. x I took my elderly mother for lunch and the staff were so lovely and respectful to her, she really enjoyed her meal and being out and about. The staff made us feel so comfortable and welcome. The food was great and well priced, we had vegans and meat eaters in our group and everyone left satisfied. Will definitely be back and I thoroughly recommend. There is also a decent beer garden out the front we found there was plenty of parking.

Delicious pub lunch in the garden, beautifully cooked, very generous portions and delightful friendly staff. There are even dog treats provided to keep your pooch happy. I had the chicken tikka pie which was a nice twist on the traditional pie options and others had the ham egg and chips or liver and bacon. I could happily have eaten any of them! It was my second visit and I will definitely be going back again.
