Had heard some good reviews about one of my old haunts... Justified!!! Took my mum and the missus for lunch today - didn't have the roast because the fish on the specials board was too tempting. Not disappointed - we're a bit fussy when we go out, but this was bob-on! We'll be back. Thank you to the team. Made our day!!

Visited for Sunday lunch, had the roast chicken which was cooked to perfection and nicely served. The landlord who is also the chef and the landlady are friendly and welcoming, the staff are all efficient, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a lovely meal at a great price in a nice relaxed, music free atmosphere and will certainly be returning especially when the menu is expanded. We certainly recommend visiting this nice village pub.Parking: Limited parking spots at front of building and limited free street parking.

Held a 50th birthday party at the Inn and Melissa & Rann couldn’t do enough to make it the special event it was. From the great food, arranging 1/2 the bar area for us, decorating it out (amazing job Melissa) & the food was incredible (totally delicious Rann).The fire pit outside for us was welcome - especially for the toasting of the marshmallows.Thoroughly recommend the Fountain Inn not just for an event but for the drinks, meals & welcome. Totally 5 star worthy ?
Working locally and needed dinner. Found by chance and what a gem it is. Warm, friendly, welcoming. We had the nut roast (a family recipe) and gammon roast, both brilliant. If only we could have stayed for open mike night, it looked like it was going to be fun.?
