Bombay Blues

I ordered the set menu for delivery with what was supposed to be a chicken bhuna but not sure that is what I got.

The curry was just meat and sauce and the sauce is like Ford radiant red, if you Google chicken bhuna none of the images are this colour.

The flavour is not unpleasant but has ZERO spiciness and tastes sweet like a korma.

The pilau rice is not particularly flavoursome and comes in hi vis luminous green/yellow.

The Bombay potato actually looked as it should and was a good portion but a bit cold but tastes nice.

I ordered a spicy poppadom which came folded and I'm not sure why.

All in all it wasn't terrible but I definitely wouldn't ever order again and would tell people to avoid unless you like your curry looking like someone went mad with a paint set and despise spice.

Had a takeaway last night that we had to wait nearly 2 hours for my other half called them said it was delivered to and address near ours so I knocked at door as know the people had not received the dinner so they lied when we stated that we would be leaving a poor review the person on other end of phone stated he cared not as they have lots of followers his arrogance was overwhelming shame used to order here and never had drama before don't know if it's new owners but won't be back shambolic service and even worse rotten attitude no care for the customer and they tell lies

Lovely food, absolutely vile delivery staff. Didn’t ring the bell and rung me to say he will take the food back if I don’t come out now. Rude wouldn’t hand me the bag instead put it on the floor and kept complaining about the lack of house number even though there is one. RUDE I will never order from here again, this isn’t the first time the same bearded man has been rude to me. Delivered 7th December at 18;54

Normally i got to another local to me curry house, however the price's have gone sky high hence trying Bombay blues. Decent amount of curry for three of us for 28 quid... And delivery was bang on time.The quality of the food was outstanding and piping hot!! The vindaloo was spot on as were the prawn puree s!Really jolly delivery man as well.... Definitely be back for more.

One day I ordered dinner and gave my credit card details for home delivery. They failed to deliver in-spite of that when I called they asked to come and pick up and I said we ordered for home deliver and there is no one at home who can drive to the store . I was told rudely that some one have attempted delivery and they gave strict 10 min to come and pick up when I say no they refused to deliver or refund and when I go there they alread closed . That’s how I lost money and no food that day. I had to make a dispute from my banker. So unprofessional

I don’t know how this restaurant has low reviews. The veggie options are great and it’s rare to find that around southend for similar restaurants !! 10/10Vegetarian options: The vegetarian meal for 2 is amazing !!

Just moved here so trying out an Indian ..Not very nice... Chip portion size wasn't even enough for 1 person and for £3 not worth it at all. Biryani the lamb was just fat and the jalfrezi chicken was soggy chicken and didn't taste right. Spent £37 not worth it at all don't rate it at all.

Food was cold and oily. Missed items even though it was ordered they messed up and wanted us to pay more. No option for 0 star otherwise that's what they would of got!!! Very poor.

Made an order over the phone.. they didn’t take our order correct.. when he re read our order back he said it so quick that I didn’t hear him only charge for 1 items when i actually asked for 4. The food was cold, greasy just not nice at all.. I called up to complain about the missing items for him to tell me that I was wrong. Yet he was in the wrong. If I could give 0* I would……

The food was okay, the paratha was quite dry and quite hard.The tandoori chicken starter was a little bit hard as well however everything else was good and the food was ready for collection on time!

Food was very poor quality. Many people from out side coming & going out side door was open. no management control look like fish market.
