From Simon and Mary-Anne..... As regular in this delightful pub which I have been frequenting for 51 years, I would like to say that the staff are the best ever. Isobel is a great Manager and has assembled some fabulous staff. I am listing them in alphabetical not in order of preference:- Ellie, Abi, Dan, Daryl, Grace, Lorraine, Magda, Matt, Rory, Tillie. We didn't eat there but we had a few drinks and the bar staff were very friendly. The only thing I'd change is that I'd love a decent cider on tap to go with the great range of beers!
Despite being a frequent visitor to Beckenham over many years, this was my first visit to The George Inn. I should have visited it sooner. Very pleasant staff, 4 real ales to choose from, and a CAMRA discount. I went for the Harvey's Best, not expecting anything great as I don't think it travels all that well. However, this was the best pint I've had outside Lewes, where Harvey's Brewery dominates the local brewing industry there (honourable mentions to the Beak and Abyss breweries).The...read full review
