We just happened to be in South Croydon and wanted to have a quick bite and a nice beer and we found ourselves in front of this lovely pub. The food is amazing (I had a proper Italian bruschetta even though it was under Tapas on the menu!), the service is great and they also had nice music.

Pub is great but one of the servers (some older man) was giving me weird comments because I don’t drink alcohol and was salty I have ordered tea. The tea supposed to come in a tea pot but came in a cup instead and when I asked for the pot he filled half of it instead of the whole one on purpose. Clearly not everyone is welcome even if my party was drinking alcohol.

A great Irish pub with good food (tried Sunday roast) and guiness. Live bands on Friday and Saturdays as well most of the time. Always a pleasure to visit at quiet and busy times, nice and cool inside dyeing the rare hot summer days!

We were turned away as a group of 4 on Thursday the evening of the 20th of June 2024 at around 7.45pm. My lady friend in her 50s who uses a crutch and has health issues was accused at the door by the doorman of being drunk. My male friend also in his 50s after a hard day at work whom also has major health issues was accused of the same. I can vouch they were not and they were both prejudged by their appearance. A prejudiced doorman spoiled our evening as we have enjoyed visiting this location before. The manager was called and stated he never over rules the doorman. Maybe the doorman should be the manager.
