Great sushi spot! Fresh ingredients and nice presentation. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.
Atariya is a traditional Japanese cuisine while offering a modern twist. I recently visited there Golders green branch for sushi dining .
The sushi selection is impressive, with a variety of rolls .The tuna and salmon were particularly noteworthy, melting in the mouth with every bite.
For rolls, the "Crunchy Tuna" stood out. The combination of fresh tuna and rice cracker flakes added a satisfying texture, perfectly balanced by a touch of creamy avocado. The presentation was beautiful, making it almost too pretty to eat!
The service was friendly and knowledgeable and also the food was delicious, enhancing the overall experience.
fantastic spot for both sushi and shashimi .I left feeling thoroughly satisfied and eager to return for more of their culinary delights, highly recommend for sushi lovers.
WARNING everyone!! This place is HYGINE RATE 1! (11th.Oct.2024)
First of all, the prices of the items are all different, and I've noticed that the price is a couple of pounds more for each item after I paid. I told this to the staff, and they said, “Oh, the price has changed recently, and we haven't updated it since.” They weren't even busy; three people were standing around without any customers. I'm really not sure why they haven't changed the prices.
I could have returned the items since they are much cheaper near my home, but I didn't want to fuss about it, and now I regret that decision. If the owner is checking this review, please do change the prices. Leaving different prices feels almost like a con. I have been to other Atariya locations, and they are 100% better. I don't expect great service, but at least the staff should do their job properly.
I came from far away to buy sashimi, but I was so disappointed by the unfriendly staff that I stopped buying.
Furthermore, when I purchased miso, the price was completely different from what was displayed. When I informed the staff, a surly clerk told me, ``The price has changed recently, and the price tag has remained the same.'' There were three clerks standing in the shop with no customers, but were there no instructions to change the price? It's been a while since I felt bad. I don't know if it's bad management or a problem with the part-time workers, but the staff's behavior is very disappointing and I really can't recommend this place.
When I checked the HYGINE RATE later, it was 1. It's too scary for a place that handles raw fish.
Lots of fresh products and good service
Difficult but had to give 4 out of 5 because of a few cons.
Very good sushi, decent prices. Service is great. But they seem to sell fish listed as one thing (fatty tuna) then actually give another. (Medium fatty) ...See photos
Also sell Snow Crab in the freezer to defrost at home but don't make California rolls etc with real crab, only crab stick which is horrible.
Manager said it's because the local clientele obviously avoid shellfish, yet they still sell Prawn sushi?! Makes no sense. :(
Sell it and people will buy it! Who doesn't love good snow crab?!
I suggest you look at how good the Hendon Atari-ya sushi is and follow!
Nice supermarket
What a find, great produce, lovely freshly made sushi and people who know there stuff serving. Will be making this a regular place to visit.
Japanese supermarket with a small food counter and seats. Food is not bad, but overpriced, even more expensive than proper restaurants further in London.
I have been buying sushi and sashimi from this shop from nearly a decade. Always very good quality fresh fish.
Great food, atmosphere and service could improve a bit. Still, it’s a hidden gem!
Restaurantji Recommends
absolute hidden gem of a sushi
Slightly empty, since it is mainly a delivery place, but the food is really good. Although it's expensive, they have a fast service and they prepare the food quickly. Definitely recommended. Keep it up guys! ?Vegetarian options: There are a few veg dishes such as avo maki or cucumber maki.
Best sushi in town without a doubt. It's a no thrills place but no issue there as the sushi is fresh, wonderful and very reasonably priced. Great for a quick pit stop too. I would definitely recommend.
Found this cute Japanese grocery/ sushi place in Finchley! It got plenty of Japanese seasonings and snacks! The sushi is freshly made in front of you in the sushi bar
Visited with a friend for lunch. Nice and quiet, good catch up with friends. Quality food and friendly staff. Will go back again soon. Thank you!
