I went yesterday to Chick at Brent Cross Shopping Centre for a falafel sandwich. I’ve enjoyed their falafel in the past, as has my wife, but I hadn’t visited in a while due to work and the 50-minute commute. After reading some recent negative reviews on their website, I decided to give it a try for myself, hoping they’d still be as good as I remembered.
The lady who served me was polite and accommodating, even agreeing to add extra tomatoes, but unfortunately, she didn’t know how to properly prepare a falafel sandwich. She piled all the salad at the bottom of the pita and placed the falafel on top. This made it impossible to eat properly, as all the falafel sat on top and the salad was left at the bottom.
When I sat down to eat, the bread split apart because it wasn’t fresh, and the whole sandwich fell apart. I ended up eating it like a plate of ingredients, which was frustrating. To make matters worse, the falafel was very dark, either from being overcooked or fried in old oil. Overall, it was an extremely disappointing experience, especially after making the 50-minute journey just to get there.
Sadly, the negative reviews I dismissed were right, and I won’t be returning.

I Working not far from here, I come here 5 days after work and I buy the falafel pitta and chicken salad And it’s amazing taste and lovely soft chicken also I highly recommend this place if you visit here. ❤️

Amazing place! The food contained plenty of amazing flavours. It has nice quick, service and with an affordable price, it makes an amazing place to have a quick, lunch if you are in Brent Cross. It’s located amidst the bustle of the mall which some may not like but one can always take away. Lots of people in the mall that pass by will look at your food - the food is that nice!
Ordered a falafel bowl and I think they were running out of things so gave very little houmous, no chickpeas or Couscous which were in the product picture yet 4 chilli's!! Lots of pickled vegetables

The falafel balls are overdone. They could be re=using the oil too many times. If that's the case its really bad. Its dark oil (re-used) or it was fried for too long. I will make the journey to Hackney and get falafel from Pockets in future.
