Putney branch has really great food and cocktails and everything is good , ambience, service , and communications as well
Even after I came London from Sri Lanka I really feel that authentic Sri Lankan cuisine on here
Special I love seafood koththu and lamprais even garayaka cocktail.

I have been several times to their restaurant in Worcester Park and was delighted to see that they have opened in Putney! The food is outstanding and the staff very attentive. Will definitely be coming back. In particular for the mix starter, cashew curry and black pork curry.

The owner does not like dogs even small breed dogs, consequently not dog friendly. Have given a hypothetical average score for food. If the owner is complaining then make your established dog friendly and we can actually review your food!!

Due to the above given lowest Service and Atmosphere scores.

Maybe in these modern times these scores will improve with a more open attitude from the owner for the business

To ensure fairness and honesty in this review, we attended your restaurant on the 23rd June 2024 at around 2 pm. Upon arrival we asked the front of house staff if the establishment is dog friendly when they confidently informed us of the owners stance about dogs in the establishment.

Unfortunately, it would be dishonest of us to rate the food or service any higher, since we were unable to experience the service or taste the food on your menu. Due to your decided policy about dogs.

Maybe when you have amended your policy in the future, we can genuinely assess the food and service!

It would seem strange that Octagreen on Putney high street with an open salad bar can be dog friendly but they are, we had a very warm welcome from the owners of Octagreen.

Such a shame this establishment cannot do something similar.

Food and drinks are really good in putney branch and paratha and prawn curry is really delicious , even the staff has good vibe with smiling and great service ( special thanks to Kanishka).

The food was very tasty. I will definitely be back for the prawn curry and paratha.

The kottu was really good 5 stars. But really can't say the same of the other dishes we ate. Rice was not even fully cooked. And it's expensive especially for this quality.

Lovely dinner. Highly recommend the Chicken curry puff for starters and the Negombo black pork curry. They were amazing!! We also had the mutton rolls and mutton kottu, they were ok, the other two dishes were definitely the highlight. Service was great - very friendly and welcoming.

Absoulte disgrace.
Please avoid if you fancy sri lankan cuisine. The Chicken curry was drenched in oil. Black pork curry was just a curry, not black pepper pork. Creamy cashew curry is watery. Hot butter cuttlefish is a poorly executed calamari. Food was an absolute disaster.

Service: the staff couldn't get a simple thing right like getting the number of plates needed for the party, gave the wrong take away order, splitting the bill, and took forever for the food or water to arrive.

Looking around, other parties were also frustrated.

Overall, none of us will not return. Will not recommend.

Some of the best Sri Lankan food you will have, the prawn rolls were delicious, as was the lamprais. We shared a vegetarian lamprais between two and ordered a couple of extra curries, plenty to share and it allowed us to try as much as possible. The watallapan is possibly the best you will have, and the cocktails are very imaginative. (Hopefully the Kopi martini from Worcester Park will make an appearance in Putney)

Authentic delicious southern Sri lankan food. Food are so good and nice portion size. Fairly priced. Nice interior and seating. Very professional and friendly staff.
