Great food and very friendly staff and a really interesting venue with all the Sherlock Holmes memorabilia. Would highly recommend

Great pub. Brilliant staff & lovely food. Couldn’t have been more helpful. We’ll be visiting next time we’re in London.

Tourist trap! Beautiful place, Very high expectations, but very low quality of Food and Service. Not recommended at all.

Great location near Charing Cross station and Trafalgar Square. Good selection of beers and very nice and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the kitchen closes early (for us Italians) at 8 pm if I remember correctly. However I recommend it for the atmosphere and location!

Came here expecting to soak up some Conan Doyle atmosphere. It is a nice old pub but it didn’t scream Holmes. Had a half pint of Watson’s golden ale and a quick look for the Sherlock exhibition. If it was upstairs then the sign indicating it was only for restaurant patrons prevented us from venturing any further.

Great food. Ate here MULTIPLE times during our time in London. Great service. Fair price. Amazing!!! Worth the time to eat here!

Stopped in around noon without reservation. Was seated quickly upstairs. And then it went downhill. Slowly. 10 minutes to get menus. Tick tick tick……finally tried to order but was informed that what we wanted was not available. Drinks ordered though. 5 minutes for drinks. Finally ordered. And then the wait. 45 minutes for food. Food bland. Sorry this was not a kitchen problem. The order was simply not put in. And when we asked after 30 minutes about our order we received an eye-roll? from the “server/waiter(emphasis in WAIT”) Avoid the dining room. Total bill £75 for 2 pints, 3 mac and cheese, 2appetizers,2sodas. Would have considered it reasonable if the service was even close to being decent or caring in the least. Avoid.

They made an effort to accommodate the five of us. And the place is interesting. But the food took over one hour. And it was far from great. Less than average burgers and Sunday roast sirloin a total disappointment. Poor beer selection.

A group of about 40 of us went there this week for a happily anticipated festive lunch. We were extremely disappointed at the standard of meal served. We received turkey breast, frozen sprouts and carrots and white greasy undercooked potatoes and gravy. Where was the stuffing, chestnuts, parsnips, cranberry sauce and Yorkshire puddings? The meal was dismal and tasteless. Desert was hardly better a tiny dry piece of Christmas pudding with some good ice cream. This meal was obviously prepared on a tight budget and does no credit to the Sherlock Homes establishment. We will be choosing somewhere else for next Christmas.

Terrible service, and discriminación for being a woman, i was there for a pint and after half hour waiting the man in the bar just said " sorry i can serve it to you, I have to go to the kitchen" totally feel discriminated and i will never come back

Wished their kitchen stayed open as long as their bar, but it was still great and I had an awesome non-alcoholic cider there. Great vibes, easy to get a table while it still being lively in there. Loved the Sherlock Holmes theme and that fact that that building and the building next door are actually in the OG Conan Doyle series is sick. Staff were nice but seemed a little overwhelmed with all the business? Maybe I caught them on an off night. Anyway, would recommend going if you're in the area or if you're a Sherlock fan.

Had Sunday Lunch in this beautiful old traditional English pub, the atmosphere was buzzing with Christmas shoppers escaping the cold winter air. Managed to secure a table in the extremely busy restaurant upstairs. It was well worth the wait - the roast beef with a huge Yorkshire pudding & lashings of beef dripping gravy, gorgeous veg and roast potatoes was amazing. Served by the most friendliest and hardworking sisters from Yorkshire- such a perfect Sunday lunch - well recommended.

We showed up around 4:30 on a Thursday and the downstairs was packed! We made our way upstairs to the dining room and were seated quickly. The staff are very friendly. We four of us had two beers and two ciders. The food was tasty and hot. The steak and ale pie was the winner among the dishes sampled. The Mac and Cheese was very good as well. The steak sandwich was maybe the least liked of them all. The onion rings ordered as a side were demolished. We really enjoyed our dinner here.
