We booked a table for 12 people for Sunday roast at 1 pm; when we arrived, the pub was empty apart from a few people having pints. I was shocked as this pub used to be packed on Sundays with a good atmosphere and food.
We ordered 5 Sunday roast beef, and the meat was so hard that we had to ask for steak knives that didn’t even help. Roast potatoes were soggy and cold, and vegetables were cold. We had to send them back. We will never go back!

Went last year for Moira Naylor's Farewell & I saw Pastor Keith Berry there! The food amazing & the organising fantástico & that includes the catering staff too!

Clean pub, small choice of hand pump cider but ales good. Serves burgers and roast dinner. Clean toilets. There is a small front of house seating outdoor area overlooking the street. The back garden seating area is a lovely local pub oasis with some play area for kids. Friendly staff. There is a fireplace. There are small and large tables for various groups. Will call again. Recently been having my Sunday roast chicken dinner here when I'm in the area. It's all nice now having improved the roast potatoes, nice big Yorkshire pudding still doing great.

Last night was my 3rd visit to the Eagle, we 1st gathered here on a Sunday in July, and spent most of the afternoon/evening in the garden. Sunday roast was so so good, and the veggie roast was falling off the plate it was so big, had us wanting to return just for that, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the staff at the bar are very friendly, Relaxed, and accommodating. Short on selection of rum but still worth the visit. Shout out to Rocky, great service on one of our visit??
