The Grill Room at Café Royal

We had a wonderful afternoon tea experience. The service, the atmosphere, the deliciousness of the food, everything is perfect. It was the best day of my life with a surprise celebration.
If I have a chance to go to London again, this is a restaurant I would like to visit again.

Everything was excellent from the service of the young guy explaining everything to the food and ambience! Just amazing! Thank you everyone and the chef for the extra delight and birthday cake!

Fantastic experience and service from all of the staff especially Gift. The afternoon tea pastries and sandwiches were amazing as was the choice of teas. It was nice the meat was halal and we could have the usual menu. The earl grey jelly was amazing! The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. I will definitely recommend to my friends and colleagues. I have already posted on my social media and had many asking about this.

I have experienced several exquisite afternoon teas in London, and Café Royal's is my favorite. Great service, a fine selection of teas, the best sandwiches, warm scones, and fabulous pastries...while enjoying beautiful live piano.

Although I sat by myself today, I never felt alone or ignored. (An experience older, solo women sometimes endure.) Quite the opposite! I enjoyed fine service and the vibes of so many wonderful artists (Oscar Wilde, Virginia Woolf, David Bowie, and many others) still lingering in the atmosphere. Absolutely magical.

Amazing tea, food and service. An absolutely excellent experience totally worth the price.

First time and we had an amazing time. The service was phenomenal. Our server Showmo did such a great job walking us through everything and making recommendations. Would highly recommend.

Our host Showmo and the rest of the staff could not have been more gracious and welcoming. The setting is spectacular and the food was delicious. Kudos to the pastry chef. A really special experience that will be a lasting memory of our visit to London.

My servers were all fantastic and recommended different teas to pair with different foods to enhance the flavor. It was by far my favorite afternoon tea experience and I will definitely be back when I am next in London! Thank you making the experience such a treat!

Sultan was amazing. In fact everyone we encountered were superb. Really kind, knowledgable but never over fussy or stiff. The room is as elegant and stunning as it gets and the afternoon tea was delectable. You really must find a way to sell that Earl Grey Jelly! I’d buy it by the gallon x
