Comfy pub with great food.
They also host challenging trivia nights if you like brain teasers.
Great pub friendly staff and a lot of history connected to this place
Lovely historic pub with a view of the Thames. Most of all for myself 100% dog friendly which I find says alot about the people running it obviously kind caring people thank you
Really cosy, friendly pub in my neighbourhood. Love the vibe, view and atmosphere.
Nice small pub with river views, and good ale and beer options.
Definitely has a haunting historical (good) vibe.
Have not tried the food so cannot comment.
Great atmosphere. Food is very average, especially for the price
A firm favourite in Rotherhithe, always great food and ambiance. Would recommend!
Greatness is overrated when you talk about this pub
Atmospheric vibe and great bear ?
Friendly staff and great chatter
Much appreciated?
When planning our trip to London, I googled old pubs, and this one popped up. Beyond the Sunday dinner being exceptional, if you are a descendant of the Mayflower ship, there was a book to sign. We are, and we did.
Dimly-lit and famous historic pub in Rotherhithe, complete with a selection of beers, porters and cask ales. Booking highly recommended for food, although you may be lucky to find a seat/spot inside or outside in the covered pier area. Be careful though, the pier area has wooden slats with narrow gaps so it might in theory be possible to drop a phone through!

Almost camp but utterly charming
Excellently cosy historic tiny pub with a great variety of menu. Booking is highly recommended.
Staff did exceptionally well with a packed table on the top floor for a special retirement do. We had a fantastic time. Superb food and wonderful ales, wonderful atmosphere.
Genuine English pub, very well decorated, it is worth deviating from the central area to get to the place. It has several rooms distributed over two floors, including a terrace on the ground floor. Typical English food of which I would highlight the "Sunday Roast", they have different types of meats. Very rich in flavor and quantity. The staff's attention was excellent.
A great place to spend the afternoon, great day out.
