Now, don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore your resturant and your food especially the main course. Something which bothered me was this very famous dessert which I ordered Last week ‘Rasmalai’. It's creamy, it's sweet, and it's the perfect indulgence after a meal. But there's something amiss, something that's been bothering me... raspberries. Yes, you heard it right, ‘raspberries’ in Rasmalai!I understand the confusion – both words do have 'Ras' in them ? but please, let's not mix up our desserts with our fruits. Rasmalai, in all its traditional glory, is a quintessential Indian sweet that deserves to stand tall and proud, without the interference of foreign flavors. And not strawberries tooo please. Plain simple Rasmali is perfect ? - we wouldn't want this misstep to tarnish that legacy.

We along with another couple spent New Year’s Eve having dinner at Asha’s. We have been numerous times before and the food is always superb ! We had a selection of starters recommend by the restaurant manager . It was a great selection of fish ,samosas and kebabs all served piping hot and delicious.our mains ( we all choose curry’s )were accompanied by buttery garlic nan bread .This was followed by a trio of tempting deserts . The waiting staff are very attentive and guided well by GM Ryan . Well done team Asha’s ,we will definitely be back

Visited this restaurant many occasions always excellent. Unfortunately not this time … my husband had a fish starter minimal fish and very fatty … I had samosas they were dry cold. Main dishes we asked for very spicy sadly bland not as it used too be …. Been visiting this restaurant for many years not sure if chefs have changed staff certainly have … not sure if will return ?

I made a large booking at this restaurant for my birthday. It wasn't until I got in touch with them to make my next payment that they informed me they were cancelling my booking due to temporary closure, leaving me very little time to find a new venue. They then took ages to refund. Their last minute poor communication means they're not the best for booking big occasions.

Starters and meals were very expensive You get half servings of poppadoms Tikka Marsala was spicy not gentle and sweet so didn’t enjoy meal or experience, will not be going again.

I booked a meal for my birthday and I had stated this on my booking request. I didn't feel anything special was done related to this - we were given a normal table, in a quite dark area, right next to the toilet!! I also noticed that other guests were asked if they'd like their coats taken but we weren't asked anything at all. We ordered the sharing platter which was lovely in terms of the temperature and quality of the food, I would however say that it was lacking in spice somewhat but still enjoyable. The mains we ordered however were not ad pleasing at all. We ordered the pulled chicken karahi which I found to be very bland and just tasted like boiled chicken in a tomato sauce.... we also ordered the lamb chop biryani - this arrived cold, the rice was undercooked and the meat was really tough and chewy. Luckily at this point we had been approached by a lovely gentleman called Swaroop who was the food and beverages manager and he asked if we had any feedbackcand we discussed the issue with the biryani and he kindly offered to take it off the bill and offered us an alternative which we declined. We then ordered dessert - these were amazing. We ordered the sticky toffee pudding which I would say is a must have! And we ordered the trio of Indian desserts and the Kulfi is out of this world as it comes with Rabdi! Whilst we were having dessert Swaroop then brought over a complimentary cheesecake with a candle for me for my birthday which was much appreciated! Additionally to the food we ordered 2 cocktails.... I have to say I wasn't too pleased with these hence we didn't order more drinks. I have been to the Asha's in Birmingham and found it to be a hugely different experience, both in terms of taste and variety. The cocktails there were amazing and I ordered the same one here and it was not even remotely similar sadly. Also the menu was different and taste was definitely different. I spoke with Swaroop about this and he advised that as the clientele was different in Manchester the menu and food also reflected that and this is why it was different to Birmingham. All in all it was an interesting evening buy could have been much better, much tastier and more value for money thus providing a better experience for my birthday! Never mind! Thank you Swaroop for going some way towards trying to rectify the issues.

People moaning about the prices?? It's some of the most authentic curry you can get over here! Location, interior, service is what you're paying for on top of that too! The food is incredibly tasty I've never had a bad meal here, always been top of the game!Just wish I could afford to go more often is all ???

This was my first time at Asha's and was a recommendation from my partner and it didn't disappoint! The service from the off was very friendly and attentive. As for the food... Just wow! I had the Muscat Gosht and its creamyness combined with the spices was just impeccable. The lamb literally melted in your mouth. For me, this is one of the best Indian meals I have ever had the pleasure of tasting.Thank you for for the experience. We will definitely be back again!

The food was very flavorful, one of the best restaurants I have been to in Manchester. I specially loved how the ambience goes so well with the food. The staff was very hospitable and friendly. Perfect place to go to celebrate special occasions.Vegetarian options: It has a very good vegetarian menu with lots of variety which tastes delicious as they sound on the menu.

food and atmosphere make the place. staff are unprofessional and have no people skills. Eryn was dealing with everything - we were liaising through email. After telling/confirming with her so many times she still appeared to be unaware of our requirements. Having to repeat myself multiple times was distressing. I would also like to add she was very sly with regards to the cost/total bill. She had agreed we could play our own music in the private dining area however on the day the staff denied this and I had to show them the email. Considering the fact I had booked the private dining and had been liaising with them for some time there wasn’t a single staff member who introduced/approached me and explained how the afternoon would go… we were just left to do things on our own.

The food was divine - honestly, mind blowing!!We came here for my partner's 30th - faultless!!Believe you me the service was even better, premium class - as upmarket as it is for our wallet, I have cemented this place in the (very short, picky!) List of favourite restaurants ❤️

Restaurant had a great vibe about it. The Service was excellent Asha’s own draught larger was great and complimented the food fantastically. However the food …….. The food was unreal and would probably say hands down the best Indian cuisine I have ever tasted. I had the greens salad with chicken to start and the Lamb Chop Biryani for main. Both were healthy portions and I’d say comfortably would be plenty for a couple. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back when next in Manchester
