The restaurant sat 16 of us without a booking last night. They explained we may have to wait for our food. The wait wasn’t that long. Food was lovely and the staff were friendly, helpful and charming. Very nice restaurant

Really disappointed with my visit to Gusto in Heswall last night. I had Seabass which came with lots and lots of chillies on top it took my breath away. The young waiter very polite and helpful noticed and quickly changed it for me. There was hardly any thing else on the plate with it. My friend had swordfish and he said I thought they were going to bring a separate dish with the rest of the meal however that was it. Very lively on a Friday night, almost completely full, mainly with the bright young things (housewives or not) of Cheshire. Service was great, timely and with a smile. King prawn starter was very tasty indeed. I had mushroom pasta for main, which was OK. I holidayed in Tuscany for many years, and this was a favourite dish. I often felt I'd died and gone to heaven. Gusto's version made me think I was at the Pearly Gates. Overall, a very good experience.
