Came in yesterday evening, our waitress was Ruadhan and she was lovely. We were quick to be seated and attended to, even when we couldn’t make up our minds she was patient and helpful. Food was lovely, I don’t understand all the bad reviews as we had a great experience! Thank you

We were greeted on arrival with options for seating, no fuss and drinks followed quickly . Waitress was pleasant with a calming demeanor . Our party did not feel any intrusion but cared for at the same time . Only negative was the freezing wind when other customers arrived or departed. Outer door was fixed open !.

The restaurant was cold as the front door was left open. The starter came without the sauce, a small discount was offered with no apology and then didn't give us the discount. The waitress completely ignored us and we couldn't get more drinks or salt and pepper for our meals. The steak was mainly fatty and overcooked. Overall a bad experience and we couldn't wait to leave.

Visited with the wife on Thursday 2nd January for the Breakfast. The worst i have visited for cleanliness and if i wasnt there to complete my review we would not have even say down down to eat! The glass windows and doors were all smudged and the floors had debris all under the tables and on the seats. For a reputable chain you would expect higher standards (see photographs).Every eating establishment should be cleaning after every service. My wife had to place her coat on a bag to avoid the crumbs on the seats! It was obvious and clear that there are no regular cleaning schedules in place! This is poor management and if the public can see it is dirty then so should the management team. If you walk past this kind of clear dirty areas, then this is your standard and you are not leading or driving the cleanliness of your restaurant. The service was very good, and i have to say the food was tasty. We both went for an English breakfast, which was well cooked and good ingredients. I did complain and received an email back from the assistant manager stating that they would ensure the place was cleaned and introduce a rota for cleaning. All the floors were thick with dust and the salt and pepper pots caked in food waste. Under every table there was dirt! Why was this not already in place? Based on this being the dirtiest restaurant visited so far, i will go back in a few weeks to assess the level of cleanliness and see if they have improved. Guys, hang your heads in shame, because this was not acceptable by anyone`s standards. The whole place requires a deep clean and maintenance.

The salad bar looked tired, and in need of a top up. This only seemed to happen if you asked. We waited an age for our food, when it came it had clearly been kept warm whilst waiting for the rest of the order of just four meals. Not your best effort, Harvester.

UPDATE December 2024
Took my wife, mother and son for a Christmas meal and thoroughly enjoyed the food . The only negative from our personal perspective was the amount of young and babies screaming and shouting. But this is just a generational niggle. Otherwise a good time out ?

We popped in after a long day shopping and following our previous visit several years ago which easy great we we apprehensive. However the meal deal was good value and the food and service were good.

Service is the downfall of this place, the staff just couldn’t care less about their job! Staff love to congregate at the bar whilst tables of people are waiting to be served. Couldn’t complain about the food other than the fact it took to long to be taken away once everybody was finished. Overall, the waitresses need to have better training in customer service.

Got to be the worst meal ever. Salad bar empty. They ran out of chicken also. I ordered a bottle of champagne for my sisters birthday. It arrived open and REALLY warm. Steak was dreadful. Fish was tasteless and staff were rude and really didn’t want to be there on Xmas eve. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. £179 wasted.

We had a table booked for 6.15 and when we arrived we were shown to a table in the open area and we asked for a booth. We were told they were fully booked as if it was a problem to swap one table for another. The table we were meant to sit at never did get occupied so confused where the issue was.

We were not given any cutlery and had to find someone to ask for them.

We finally had our order taken at 6.35 and were told there was no salad bowls and we had to make do with plates and when bowls were ready we would receive them. Never did.

Our food arrived by 7.10 no complaints over the food itself.

Our waitress did not attend to us again and by 7.45 we had to go searching for her to ask for our children’s ’build your own sundae’. We watched her leave as her shift was probably over.

I went to find someone else to ask who told me that she had to get our server to put the order through. I told her that she just went home and she took the order for me.. still not here by 8pm and there was around 4 tables at this point. We then had to find her again and by 8.10 (2 hours after arriving) we finally got our children’s deserts.

As you can see from the picture, 20+ mins to serve this is appalling service and we won’t be coming back.
