We turned up at 5pm for a pre booked meal for 10, 7 adults and 3 kids. We all ordered about 5.20pm and was told could be up to 30mins wait for food. FORTY FIVE mins later the food started to come out in dribs and drabs. One of the 4yr old kids said, when food put in front of him “well that’s little” it really was, another kiddy had waffles that were near on burnt to a crisp, rock hard and cold. The gluten free meal, the meat was raw and he couldn’t eat it. All chips were cold and hard as were onion rings. Nine meals out and we waited for the last….. he’d ordered a cowboy burger but was told no burgers so did he want a chicken burger, he said yes just because we were all a bit miffed. But it didn’t arrive, guy bringing the meals asked him if he’d ordered anything, he said “ordered a cowboy burger but had to change to chicken burger” The guy went off and 5 mins later brought out this absolutely disgusting excuse for a chicken burger ( see photo ) it was cold, overcooked as were the chips, there was no salad, sauce, garnish, just a plastic cheese slice slapped in the bun. It was inedible!! This meal was a get together as we had family down from Manchester so wanted to have a family meal together! It was ruined, it was crappy and unacceptable, completely ruined our family meal out ! And it wasn’t even busy !!

11 of us today for grand daughters 18th she was given a small bottle of prosecco from staff. so kind of them.lovely friendly landlady,staff excellent service. recommend. thankyou.

From the moment you walk in, they make you feel welcome like an old friend. Drinks are always served quickly, and with a genuine smile.Jamie somehow remembers your order and balance professionalism with just the right amount of friendly chat. It’s rare to find bar staff who combine efficiency and warmth. The entire team here deserves praise. Everyone is warm, welcoming, and clearly takes pride in what they do. The service is quick without ever feeling rushed, and the atmosphere is always inviting. The food is delicious! Every dish is fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavour. From starters to desserts, you can tell real care goes into every plate. Highly recommended!

Had a fantastic time at the sunnyside food was spot on and drinks were nice and cold. Staff are fantastic and you can see they enjoy working there absolute credit to the place every one of them

We went with friends for a meal and drinks. The staff were great and there was a nice welcome when we entered the pub. We found a table and then placed our order. The person serving was very efficient and although he was on his own he was very competent and even had time to answer the phone while getting our drinks. The food did not take long to come out and was well prepared. I ordered a steak and it was cooked just as I ordered it. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Me Myself has an Invisible Disability and when my mum went to the toilet this Worker Gave me Attitude, So my Mum and the Worker Argued for a Bit and a Manager or Supervisor whatever the Person Was Me and my mum was speaking to and I am Absolutely DIGUSTED By the Staff's Behaviour, This Is Unecceptable, I Am Expecting an Apology by The Owners of this Restaraunt Because I am SICK Of that Kind Of Behaviour.

Lovely atmosphere; friendly staff;comfortable place to be; excellent menu; great food; well served; moderate prices; attentive staff. Great for family gatherings and for dining solo.

Had beef roast, ultimate bbq and some drinks. Roast wasn’t the best as the veggies didn’t taste fresh or done well. BBQ was quite good. The pub has a pool table and darts which was quite fun.

Lovely place to come and relax. Visit on the off chance and took the dog too. Garden is lovely and quiet. Food prices are correct and quality. Staff welcoming for us and the dog.
