Spent a cracking afternoon at The White Hart for a late lunch on New Year's Day. Excellent welcome in the restaurant and really made to feel at home. Great selection of drinks, and a couple of excellent Everards ales to boot. Menu is extensive with something for everyone, cooked fresh and high quality. Simple added touches like an extra jug of custard with pudding made all the difference. Very relaxed service, really friendly and fun staff, always worth a short ride up the Bedford Road from town. Can't wait to go back, thank you for looking after us with such kindness and excellent food?
Good food and drinks a very pleasant evening.
Had a lovely Christmas get together meal tonight, 9 of us. Only booked couple weeks ago but Traci was really accommodating when discussing the booking. We had the Christmas Fayre menu …food was amazing, the waitresses were top notch , friendly and their service was excellent. A really cosy pub, enjoyed by us all tonight and just want to thank the team there for a lovely evening of hospitality.
Spent an hour walking to the White Hart, only to find the whole pub was closed for a private party. They could have kept the bar open for the public. It is after all supposed to be a pub. Complained in writing, but didn't receive any response. I guess this speaks volumes. It's no wonder that so many pubs are closing down, if this is how much some value their customers! It may also be why the other pub in the village is more popular, despite them charging a lot more for their food and drinks.I suggest anyone planning to go to this pub, especially if this involves a long walk, phone first to check if they are open to the public. Also watch out for early closing if they are quiet.Update after the response by the owner: Nice to eventually get a reply. A pity & rude that my email was ignored. My point is that the whole pub was closed to the public. You are supposed to be running a PUB. The bar could have been left open, and private party in the lounge/restaurant. I don't need be phone in future to check, because I won't be coming back!
Regular monthly quiz night. Ordered food in advance which came up quickly. Nice and hot too. Friendly staff.
