Dirty. The staff is surly. The coffee is not tasty.
Pretty good coffee and cake but never enough staff and always busy meaning tables always sticky and uncleared.
I ordered 2 mocha's and a toasted sandwich. Fast service, good coffee and tasty toastie ? would definitely go back when in that area again.
Comfortable if it's not too busy and you actually get a place on the couches.Coffee is nice but nothing special, Much better than Starbucks. Not a fan of their "special" coffees but it might just be
Visited on a cold, late September day. The air conditioning was on full blast, and all the customers kept their coats and jackets on. It doesn't take a genius to realise if its 12 degrees outside aircon isn't necessary.
Staff polite and attentive -Ordered an Americano and Mocha which both arrived in cardboard cups . However my wife and I found both drinks practically tasteless- the weakest cups of hot drinks we've ever had in any Caffe
Coffee usually pretty good (better than other chains) but it’s always very busy and understaffed so I can’t rely on it to get my coffee most days as the queues are too long.
The place is nice and warm, the barista very kind but too many people to be served by only one person (including cleaning the tables and organising other supplies)
**Horrible experience** My disabled Friend and I went in to the Caffee Nero for a quick Coffee to finish off the lovely day that we had had together. The place was totally crammed with people on laptops which made me feel uncomfortable straight away, what happend to the happy cheery sounds of a Cafe' where people talk to each other and are not hypnotised by a screen!? So I went to order our drinks.......there was this Barista that was working slowly even though there were more and more people waiting to be served. She didn't apologise to any of her customers that they had to wait so long to be served by her. There was also a "Trainee Barista" that was tidying the paper cups in slow motion (who eventually decided to help with making coffees too). It was painful to watch how these two ladies were working despite all the customers that were waiting!!!!!! I must have been waiting for at least 15 minutes. When it was finally my turn the Barista was incredibly rude to me just because I asked for just one shot of Espresso and not two. Both drinks I ordered were AWFUL. I wish I would have never gone in there, my friend feels the same. I will also contact Cafee Nero directly to see if I can get a refund. I paid almost £9 for two AWFUL drinks and being served by a rude Barista.
If I could do a minus 5 star I really would. From the get go the man at the till with the beard and tattoos was extremely rude while taking our order and seemed to not be bothered. Smashing his fingers against the till and slamming our plates on the tray as if he was about to explode. after ordering a ice frappe we got the most disgusting coffee which was not what we ordered, complete waste of £10.The man had a serious attitude problem towards customers and shouldn’t be working in the service industry. Shouting at a customer “AYE YEE YOU BUD” in general being very vulgar to anyone walking through the door. The waitress was either scared or clueless. Definitely not recommend to anyone if them two are working… I’m surprised a person like himself would be allowed to work in this industry.Shocking.

I haven’t been to this location for a long time and will not be back in a hurry. Went in at 8:40 hoping to grab a quick coffee before work. Waited ten minutes. Seems only one person makes coffee and she was painfully slow. There was other staff there but I was not acknowledged by any of them despite trying to make eye contact several times. When it finally got to my turn the barista with absolutely no acknowledgment to me turned her back and started making a coffee again at a snails pace stopping to talk with another staff member. No I will be right with you no eye contact nothing. So after waiting 15 minutes I ended up leaving without a coffee. I will be sticking with Costa.
Cafe Nero is a wonderful chain we discovered all over Edinburgh AND great for being a landmark to find your way around and coffee better than Charbucks! Lol!!
Can't complain, prices are reasonable and the store is always clean and tidy. Amazing drinks for a great price - the best of the big 3 chains in terms of quality I'd say.Great to sit and read a book, or work on laptop. Always recommend!
Coffee takes a while to be made, one was almost cold by the time the others were ready. Toilets could be a lot cleaner!
I took a sandwich back to work with a lovely flat white. Staff are super friendly in this branch, always take time to ask how your weekend was etc. Great shop ?
