Fabulous food, very friendly staff. Brilliant for a coffee and scone or lunch. Wonderful for a take away soup too if you are in a rush.
I called today on the off chance of getting coffee and cake delivered in Selkirk. A lovely girl took my order and payment. Within 30mins I got a call from the recipient delighted. This meant so much to myself and the lucky couple enjoying a surprise coffee and delicious cake. Thank you Peony Rose. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again.
Great cafe with lively staff and excellent food and cakes
Lovely place for coffee, stopped off on whim first place we seen. Had cake choice was great ?
Superb cafe. Visited with my wife and 2 year old daughter and we were made instantly welcome. Delicious food and plenty of tea; a jewel in Selkirk's crown. ?
Kid-friendliness: high chairs, easy to change nappies in the loo and thoughtful touches throughout
Stopped here for brunch, and the carrot cake was delicious. Breakfast rolls were fantastic. Will definitely come back again.
Quiet possibly the best full Scottish breakfast I've ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection, fantastic customer service and very reasonably priced. Cannot recommend highly enough!
Fresh scones daily and fresh cakes and tray bakes, bacon rolls best in town
Although it states it's open to 16:30 the kitchen closes at 15:30. So only cake and hot drinks after this time. It would be nice if they stocked Scottish ice cream instead of English to help support local industry. I tried the maple and toffee cake it's was nice and moist but no flavour of maple whatsoever. Coffee was nice. I have posted menu pics. Update
I wasn't concerned about the carbon footprint but rather local businesses. After checking out various cafe in the area I don't believe any are selling Scottish ice in Selkirk so I believe a Scottish ice cream seller would be happy to sell. No seller would refuse a business to sell it's products. As for closing kitchen early, it might be start practice for you. But I have been to many cafes in the borders and beyond and never had this issue even in the last hour of service. Your the first out 300+ cafes I have visited from northern England to central Scotland.
Lovely place in a lovely town. Amazing selection of cakes, teas and coffees. Great for light lunches and breakfast.

Stopped off here for a cuppa & a scone. Super friendly staff, nice, comfortable surroundings and a belting fruit scone! Couldn't drain the bottomless pot of tea which was very refreshing. We'll definitely be back.
