Although it was busy on arrival the staff were friendly and welcoming, taking the time to show us to our table. The atmosphere was warm and cosy. Plenty of room between tables so didn't feel overcrowded.We ordered the carvery which was served with freshly cooked veg.The staff were very professional and attentive. Lovely homely feel and friendly service. My family had a selection of menu options: the carvery was tasty, the pizza has gammon ham on (lovely), the kid's beef burger and southern fried chicken burger were polished off quickly, and the puddings all hit the happy sweet spot. Be good if the chain management could introduce skinny fries to the menu. Beautiful old pub, I hope to be back again.

Suzanne is your best Staff member. She is so friendly, happy and accommodating. She goes out of her way to look after me and my Children. It's because of Suzanne that we keep coming back. What an incredible Lady. Keep being you Suzanne. You are a real credit to this place.
