£7.60 for a plnt lager.
Sea bream, overly salty ( I know that fish is salty) but this was overpowering. This is a nice pub, but expensive.

7 quid+ for a pint of Italian beer. Greedy.
If you are visiting the area and interested in traditional English pubs and restaurants, walk along to the King's Head Inn - 100m past this place. Here you can get a great pint & food for a much better price, in an atmosphere becoming of Ye Olde Days. Experience the real deal.

Overall , it's an okay place to stay overnight to break a long journey, needs a bit of a revamp.I found the bar prices a bit on the high end of the scale, £7.60 for a pint of Madri. Bar opening times seem a bit strange for a

All I can say is WOW!
The Castle Inn Team helped make my wedding absolutely perfect! Nothing was too much for them and we can't recommend this place enough. Throughout the past year we would come here for dinner and to talk about the arrangements, each time we would leave with a smile on our faces and happy tummys. Service is always amazing, they kept checking on us to make sure we were ok and honestly I couldn't be happier with them. So if you are thinking of getting married, please please please consider the Castle Inn.

Rooms: The room we had was lovely, it was clean, spacious and cosy.

Food and drinks: Absolutely perfect! We had the calamari and it was superb. Fantastic food and the portions put Americans to shame. ? So worth it.

If you're planning a wedding, without a single doubt you can rest assured that this is the right place, Mae and her team are just simply flawless, they're all so friendly and professional, with nothing being too much trouble.

We can't thank them enough for everything they did, they made the planning process much less stressful and helped us completely tailor our day, it was just perfect.

Attended a family wedding at this hidden gem of a hotel.
Food was great! Locally sourced and big portions.
The staff team were friendly, efficient and professional. Nothing was too much.

Food and drinks: Amazing!

Noteworthy details: Near the beautiful Bramber Castle

Extremely friendly staff, very good complementary breakfasts, good dinners (chargeable!), rooms a little variable

Rooms: Definitely not brand new but comfy enough. Showers can be a bit weedy, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room

Nearby activities: Pleasant walks and ruins

Safety: internal stairs narrow, steep and too thickly carpeted

Walkability: Lots of ramblers use it as a base

Food and drinks: Bar is a pub bar, food is very good

Noteworthy details: Friendly

Where shall I start?

Corridors very old, dusty and full of fake flowers everywhere throughout the hotel. Needs modernisation.

The worst part food and beverage

Paid £7.6 for a pint of Madri. Not even in London. Really expensive.

Ordered half chicken and came with literally running blood inside. Complained and they said they were trying different temperatures in the oven. As for me being a Head of Food Production for 12 restaurants you don’t try anything with chicken, chef. You cook and probe it and the core needs to be 75 degrees or more. That’s basic Food Safety but clearly does not exist here…

Shocking!!! They were also discussing if the dish should be offered. Of course it should be! They finally offered the dish and second time came good.

My chicken burger although had already better at a local chicken shop for half price.

There was a party at the salon and all employees including the manager believe named Mae were dancing instead of caring about customers.

For example the mens toilet was full of urine from 7.30pm to 10.45pm and they preferred to have a manager dancing with like 4 or 5 employees rather than cleaning it. Priorities…

On top of these issues, 3 times I was asked if I wanted to pay which I replied why are you almost forcing me to pay? I am not leaving, I have a room upstairs. Then a kid working as an employee said that they were closing early. Supposed to close at 11pm they said at 6pm when I arrived.

After this I discover the issue with the payments was that they wanted to be free of any customers to go all to the salon to dance with the manager and even left the pub unattended for some time which I never saw this in my life.

Honestly the poorest management I have seen in some time….

Not even going to mention the horrible full english I had in the morning…

Only good part was that rooms were not bad, quite clean and organised with all goods needed

Avoid at all cost!!!

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the beer is great as is the atmosphere.
My wife had scampi and chips and I had the chefs homemade chicken and asparagus pie, and I can honestly say it was one of the best pies I've ever had, 10/10.

Stopped in at this Bramber hotel today for lunch, just across the road from the Norman castle ruins. It seemed quiet, even for a Tuesday. The weather was warm and sunny and we sat outside in the large patio area at the rear of the hotel. The sandwiches looked good, were freshly made and tasty. Service was friendly. Well worth a visit.

I stayed here while walking the South Downs Way. I had a good large, quiet, comfortable room. The bar was friendly with a lot of locals and served good beer and food. Breakfast was served from 7am which was good as I had to get off early.

Really nice meal for 4 of us in the dining room Saturday night. Quite empty inside but lots of folk were eating in the outside area . Easy parking opposite. Tranquil village setting. We were with two people staying there and they rate the accommodation highly with some hilarity over the creaky floorboards .

I came here for a meal. They have delicious desserts and great servers. My server Oliver was excellent and very friendly. The atmosphere is sophisticated and relaxing.
