7 for Sunday lunch , the best roast out there , been to loads of places for a roast on Sunday but their roasts was like home made , no frozen potatoes, great selection of veg lovely meat and plenty of- couldn’t recommend enough
Enjoyed a pint in here for the first time in a long time. Nice traditional pub. Plenty of drink choices.
Decent band playing, it was a nice night.
Great atmosphere in this very old pub on Tarring High Street. Very traditional feel inside and the locals are usually very friendly. Good selection of local ales but not much in terms of craft beer
Good friendly place
Good traditional pub with food and nice atmosphers
Small pub garden to rear also
Food good value, particularly pensioners specials. Great atmosphere, particularly on quiz and entertainment nights. Can recommend the quiz if there is a table available, do book.
Vegetarian options: The veggie curry is recommend.
Wheelchair accessibility: Very limited and there are changes in floor level.
Lovely ploughman’s, we had 2 Brie and 1 ham. So much food, scotch egg was tasty.
I even got a ham taster! Thank you
Nice pub in Tarring, good food & selection of drinks. Pond is well looked after which reflects on how the whole pub is looked after.
I'll be back. :-)
I have now been back many times and spent a Christmas meal out there too.
And I'll be back again.
A really nice old proper pub!
Fantastic afternoon of music. Great food and lovely staff and atmosphere.

Visited this well established village public house this Wednesday 13 March 2024 lunchtime but it was not as good as in the past. The cost of a pint of Harvey's bitter beer was an outrageous £5.20, at least 50p more than contemporaries. The pub was cold and we kept our jackets on throughout our stay. There is no food available on two days per week and served on only one evening per week. The beer was in good condition, as it should be and despite a modest 'footfall' the ambiance was pleasant. Overall a somewhat disappointing visit with a slightly generous 3 stars awarded.
Nice friendly pub. Good meal
Went for the Wassailing. It was a blast ?
Fabulous venue, great atmosphere for a catch up with friends with a pint.
Popped in for a quick pint. A very pleasant welcome in the pub and a decent range on tap.
A proper old school pub.
