“Turvey is spoiled with two very decent pubs, one being Three Fyshes and this one The Three Cranes. We regularly eat and drink in both, but our preference is for the latter.Cliff runs a tight ship and his staff rarely miss a beat with their service. Whilst the menu is limited, the quality is always exceptional and there’s still something for most tastes.The drink selection on the other hand is vast, the beers are top quality and the wines are well chosen, with prices covering all pockets.The atmosphere is buzzing without being over the top and the locals that drink in there are polite. (Although it can get noisy on a Tuesday for the weekly quiz - in a nice way)If you ever find yourself in the area, be sure to give it a try. Make sure you save some room for the dessert board.”

“Our first time at Toby Carvery. Jacob, our server, was excellent. He was informative, patient and very kind. The place was buzzing and he remained cool, calm and collected. He obviously enjoys working there.The portions are huge! One portion of Mini Pigs-in-blankets was enough for two people. Choice of five roasts (Pork, Gammon, Beef, Turkey and Lamb) and, I think, four or five vegetarian options. More veggies than you could imagine plus Mac-n-cheese. Huge Yorkshire pudds! Plus two excellent sausages.We now have to sit down and relax for a few hours as we digest everything.Will we go back? You bet we will! ???PS. “I've had the opportunity to visit Bedford on a number of occasions over the last 2 years. On each occasion I have stayed at The Verve , usually for 2 or 3-nights at a time. On every visit I have been met by friendly professional staff who are very attentive. Rooms and beds have been very comfortable, clean and quiet. I also always take the chance to eat from their Thai menu, which I find to be delicious. I will continue to stay at The Verve during future visits to Bedford as its an easy distance from the railway station and the town centre.”
