“I have never been so in awe of a dish in my life. Had the Nyonya Malaysian curry (vegetables, I dont eat meat) and I have NEVER tasted something so good in my whole life. And I have eaten a LOT of food. The flavours were out of this world. My ONLY gripe was that I wish the vegetarian option came with tofu as standard, as it costs 4 pounds to add it on which actually raises the price higher than chicken and I think that that was a little overpriced, personally. It cost nearly 18 for just the curry/stir fry if you wanted it made with tofu (no rice or sides included) and that felt a little steep, personally. However, if you want the best meal of your life - come here. You won't be disappointed. Staff are lovely too, and the atmosphere on point ?“

“Visited here on a Sunday at 5pm. Although quiet to start with it soon filled up. The 4 of us had a selection of Tapas to start with and 4 main courses. Everyone enjoyed the food and the servers were polite and answered our questions regarding a few menu choices.“

One of the best crispy chicken burgers out there.

Only comment, please add lactose free milk rather than just the plant based stuff.

“Overall the experience was good fun and our party found it hilarious. The service is rude from start to finish and is not for the faint hearted. As soon as we made the host aware we had a vegetarian in the group, the whole restaurant were made to make hand gestures towards us! The tables are cramped together and uncomfortable. We were made hats with personalised insults and there is drawing available on the tables. There are also house rules printed throughout the restaurant. Our only niggle was that the waiter took our menus without our order as he was to carried away in the act. We attempted to flag someone down however was just dismissed and therefore didn't order food for around an hour. Once arrived and contrary to other reviews, the food was tasty and the cocktails were good. The entertainment had us belly laughing, especially when they had people up dancing. The bill was reasonable for what you get. Overall the service was shocking, we had the menus thrown at us, was insulted continuously and told to get out of the way. It was what we expected and recommend as a unique experience.“

It was thoroughly gorgeous, perfectly poached eggs and lovely ripe avocado. We ordered the avocado dish with 3 cooked breakfasts, and somehow they managed to cook it all simultaneously so the plates appeared together. Very well done xx“

“The average price per dish at The Golden Palace is higher than most similar Chinese takeaways in the area. We were not impressed with the rice content of the 4 meals that we ordered, two of which comprised boiled rice rather than the fried rice which we ordered while the rice itself was bland with a tendency to be over cooked and dry. A return visit is not planned.“
