For the second time now drink has been charged but not delivered...Staff seem stressed and under staffed chips not cooked and soggy we wont be coming back a third time

I have been going to King Cod for a few years now and have always found it to be very clean with polite and friendly staff. The fish and chips have always been very good, but on our last visit, things have changed. The fish inside the batter was smaller, and the large chips were not as large as previous visits. The order came a lot quicker than expected as the fish was always cooked to order, which meant at least a 10 to 15 minute wait.I hope this was a one-off as I will return to try again.

Just called in for the first time ever. Ordered regular fish n chips. Being a northerner I asked for batter (scraps for southerners) and they asked for 50p. I am shocked. They would get laughed at up north for charging. I haven’t tasted their product yet so the rating is based on their cheek to charge for the batter. I can update for the food later

We got our fish and chips when we got home the fish was overcooked and the batter was thick and over cooked eg a bit burnt and bland, youngsters were cooking the fish and chip, , did not enjoy it all. Will not go there again

Ordered food on deliveroo. Was told that the food was ‘on its way’, an hour later rang the restaurant asking where the food was. They stated that it’s not on its way and it’s too far for the driver. Absolutely appalling the restaurant didn’t even bother to make contact. Avoid at all costs. Still took the money. Pure greed and thieves.

Ordered from here spent £32 and when we got our food it was cold and we found hair in the food when I called up to complain the manager asked what you want me to do about it? Which I thought was extremely rude they did send us another portion of chips but when you’ve spent £32 on food they should treat the order and customer with a little respect food was 3/10 service was a 4/10 wouldn’t go there again and isn’t worth the money I would avoid this place

Just got sausage and chips. Got to be the worst I've ever had, what a joke of a place stale chips precooked and served up again. First and last time I will be going here. Save your money and order else where
