Friday 22/12 evening as part of the premiere Inn deal we had a meal here. The girl at the restaurant was miserable. Definitely not 'happy to help.' The food was good and Oliver was lovely. He definitely was 'happy too help.'Breakfast was ok but not much on offer. Angel was lovely. We felt sorry for her as a family that thought they were more important than anyone else wouldn't leave the table even though they arrived 45 minutes late. Other people were waiting for that table but they didn't care. Angel did her best to explain the situation as professionally as she could but they were far too proud too be thinking of anyone else but themselves.Good food and reasonably priced.

Family Christmas meal for 22 people, sorted order out before the day and was well managed. We had some people do didn't show but was handled well. The food was great with no delays, everyone got their food around the same time.

I have had several Christmas meals recently at different venues - Beefeater, Brewpoint, local free-house pub - and the quality and quantity of the Brewers Fayre food was the best of all. I read the reviews beforehand so was prepared for the worst but was pleasantly surprised by my experience. Also, one of our friends had the steak and ale pie and, although the portions looked small, they were more than adequate for a lunchtime meal, tasted good, and were nicely presented. Many of us know that the cost of running restaurants these days is proving extremely costly so, sadly, cutbacks are being made wherever possible - staff and food being the most obvious...I think Brewers Fayre have done a great job in managing to provide the basics but still make it worthwhile. I hope more people give them good marks for effort.

We waited for more than 10 minutes for someone to seat us, then waited another 15 minutes to order our meals at the bar, we then waited another 30 minutes for the food and we waited so long for desserts that we cut our losses and left without receiving them, despite having already paid. Absolutely atrocious. Avoid at all costs.

I visited Brewers Fayre for Breakfast whilst staying over in the nearby Premier Inn for work business, the breakfast was included with my room. My opinion of the Brewers Fayre Breakfast is whilst it's not awful by any means. I think there's room for improvement. Compared to other breakfasts I've had included with staying over at Premier Inn. Parts of the Breakfast here were of noticeably poor and cheap quality. Especially the Sausages and Eggs. The Breakfast Buffet area didn't seem well looked after and constantly maintained either. I will say the Hash Browns were pretty decent though. Probably the highlight. Overall I think the Breakfast does need improvement, with the quality of ingredients and products. Plus generally how its looked after and maintained as a lack of care seemed apparent with this

Terrible! Booked weeks ahead for10 people for the festive menu. Table was available but the table was bare with no Christmas table decorations. We all chose a mix of 2 or 3 course options and everyone chose turkey. Soon after someone came to the table telling us they are out of turkey. How can you be out of turkey on Sunday 17th December for 12:00 midday sitting? Curiously there was a large turkey sitting on the carvery but the assistant advised that it could not be used for the festive menu. None of us wanted the other options from the festive menu so we went for the standard carvery and had turkey - jees! Later as the deserts were being brought out, the same person that told us tge turkey was off the menu, told us they needed our table in 15 minutes. So disappointed with this non- festive experience. The place seems to be run by kids with little idea of how to treat customers in the hospitality sector. To be fair, the person serving on the carvery was friendly and the chap that brought our deserts was very accommodating too.

It is what it is. Once seated, it’s self service, buffet style. Filled a need. O thing bad about the place apart from it’s not dog friendly, so it’s not possible to spend time here and relax if you have your furry mates with you.

I was absolutely disgusted when I visited this place last Friday night!Staff were very uninterested in serving and I ordered from the NCGI festive menu (I didn’t want this but this was all I got offered!)So I ordered the burger - and there was a GLUTEN sausage inside the burger. Firstly WHY this was NOT on the menu and secondly they know what ingredients are in each item!!! The chef in the kitchen needs sacking! Didn’t feel like a genuine mistake more like I was being targeted as it wasn’t even a festive sausage. I got my money back from the premier inn but I’m still suffering a week later and I barely touched the food knowing something wasn’t right!!!!If you are going to serve gluten free options do it right! This is dangerous!!!!!! I should be taking it further but I won’t be back EVER ! Had to have the yukky breakfast here too! The worst ever! Will avoid like the plague. (Lady who served the breakfast was LOVELY!!!)

Had 18 in our party there for a xmas group of swimmers on the 24th November.Service was slow as they were short staffed .When the main meals arrived the potatoes and parsnips were burnt and shouldn't have been served. The manager brought some more vegetables up put onto a COLD serving dish .One of the diners meal was cold so sent it back eventually another one arrived on a FREEZING cold plate. The people who ordered their xmas Fayre got their dinner deducted.Shocking waste of time unfortunately won't be going there again soon.

We booked a table for two and I specifically said we wanted to order from the festive menu. We were told, on arrival, that they had run out of the festive burgers, which wasn’t too bad as we were wanting the turkey. My partner went up to order at the bar and was told they had also run out of turkey. This left us with a load of veggie options. I understand places run out of things but 6pm on a Sunday I would have expected they would still have the festive specials as they were advertising them all around inside and outside the restaurant. The carvery had closed so we couldn’t go for that option. Not very festive!

A lovely Christmas lunch today, a few hiccups but Alison & Katie went above and beyond to get them sorted. Table was beautifully decorated by Alison and put us all in the Christmas mood ... thanks Alison you're a real STAR and real credit to Brewers Fayre!

What a waste. Went for a family get together even though we generally feel this “Happy Place” as they say in their advertising is the most depressing place to visit - but they had 50% off mains so we hoped it might have improved. It hadn’t. Staff could not be bothered to interact with more than 3 words, the place was near dead at 7pm and after we had all decided on our order they told us they had no steak so platters were off. Could they not have mentioned this when we sat down? We asked if we could have extra gammon as a substitute but were told no. End of. When we eventually found something they did have the food was OK but badly presented - more dumped on the plate really. After finishing there was no attempt to clear the plates ( even though the place was near empty) and the dessert we had pre-ordered had to be requested at which point they cleared a couple of plates but never returned for the rest. As mentioned, we have visited on a number of occasions but never get a warm welcome so it is no surprise that they have to keep offering such discounts. Whitbread clearly hasn’t mastered Social Media, with virtually no replies to disgruntled customers and a Twitter (X) account still offering condolences about Her Majesty. To cap the awful evening a quick visit to the loo was met with a wet floor and a urinal full of urine. The place should really get some staff that are at least friendly and customer focussed and a plumber!
