Decided to try the new Bedford shop instead of Hitchin whilst visiting family and we were not disappointed. Even though they were extremely busy we didn't have to wait to long for a table, the staff were brilliant and working so hard I couldn't not leave a tip. Food was amazing as always and we got to watch the football too! Thank you chicken George ? We will drive 3 hours again to visit you

More like chicken gawj!Travelled up here on a Thursday afternoon with some good friends after seeing the hype on tik tok - I cannot recommend this place enough!We went for the family sharer, admittedly the meal did defeat us but what a beautiful spread! All the chicken cooked fresh and sensationally quickly.Our two wings flavours were the award winning Mango and the Thai - for me I was unbelievably shocked at how good the mango ones were! So flavoursome and they’ve really nailed the recipe.We also got the fried chicken and as far as this goes I really have not had better, the seasoning was well balanced, the meat succulent and let’s not forget the strips - Colonel Sanders watch out buddy!Overall a really brilliant experience and I’ll be back again for sure.

3/4 of the way through a 12 hour shift I really fancied chicken george and chips. I must of been more tired than i thought, reading the opening times on the door Not actually taken in what i was reading, I stood outside the shop waiting to be served the man came out and told me that after a certain time you had to order online but because I had such a pretty uniform on he would serve me I just wanted one piece of chicken and chips. When I got home he'd given me 2 pieces of chicken chips and a drink and didn't charge me for any of it as I was working out in the community. What a lovely thing to do. Thank you x

The most overrated takeaway ever! The coating is sweet sickly but tasty over the driest chicken and ribs. Please don't bother.

So I haven’t ordered from chicken George in a while so I though I just might! How wrong could I be with very dry chicken and the ribs even dryer! The Mac and cheese was just not right at all! Something very wrong with it indeed and I think I will stick to Wingz n Tingz also in Luton! Don’t know why I didn’t order from them in the first place

Went to Chicken George for a takeaway on the way home on Sunday evening,to be told by staff that I had to go home and order online and it would be delivered. At an additional cost of £3.50 for the privalage. Makes the cost of a box of Chicken and Chips rather expensive.. Oh well, won’t be going there again. They obviously must have shares in some delivery company.

Well it's Saturday afternoon and I can't even order apparently Just-eat are not delivering until Sunday 12:55 !! What is that all about! I agree with a lot of these reviews not the same as before lockdown. Even the mango wings have changed ?

Food nothing special from KFC or Sams last week ordered from Chicken George 10 pieces family box expecting awesome taste but after first bite was disappointed and chips was to fat. And waited for food almost 2 hours from ordering.

Drove over 40 minutes to get it since Google says open till 9pm got there for them to say you can only do click and collect till 5pm (too late) or order on just eat to outside their door.Website also down. Next time try making this clear so your customers don't waste time and petrol on the journey down for nothing

Ordered at a takeaway luton branch at the door..Food was fine..What's with not being allowed inside the shop?There's no covid restrictions..The lady who served was pleasant enough.She didn't wear no mask or even gloves to take my payment or hand me the Food.Furthermore..Two delivery drivers walked straight into the shop within inches of me ,again no mask or gloves..So why am I made to stand outside??..Tonight April 30th5.07 pm.Outside shop.5.07pmWe can't take you order.It's after 5You can order online for delivery.Um no thanks..I'll just go to one of the other three takeaways in less than 20 meters.How to lose customers..

I can’t explain how upset I am ! I’m going there to be told that no food collection after 5pm. You need to order via just eat ( by the way doesn’t deliver where I live , apparently I’m too far even if in Luton ) + the delivery price is ridiculous anyway
