Karak Chaii is a place I usually enjoy and have been ordering food from regularly. But the reason for my 1 star review (Which I don’t do often) is because the last time I had ordered karak chaii for takeaway (6th January) I found something peculiar in my food, at the bottom of the Halwa I got was a piece of white plastic . I found it just as I was about to eat it and was absolutely disgusted, I could not finish my food after that and had to throw it away unfortunately. I immediately contacted Karak Chaii through their contact note on the website and it said to wait 7 working days for a response. I have not found any other direct way to contact but I did direct message on Instagram along with emailing. Received absolutely zero response. I even sent the proof of my receipt and images of the plastic piece I found within my food. Overall, they need to fix their customer service because it’s absolutely awful.

Have been visiting Karak chai Luton from the time they opened up their shop in Luton. Its bedn really friendly staff serving us.To my surprise what a rude person on the counter today. No sugarless tea and other one waiting time of 15 min.No planning at all.Asked to speak wth manager - to my surprise the person on counter was manager with an attitude - I was told off telling me he doesn’t need my advise of planning .Good for him ……

Food was alright. The spicy chicken loaded chips was really nice. Dad said the chicken tikka wrap was dry.. the Punjabi Samosa Burger was alright ?. The service and atmosphere was relaxing and nice. They need to improve the spices and sauces though.

Beautiful eatery, spectacular atmosphere, wonderful service- what more could you possibly want? Jam packed with aesthetics, Karak Chaii is perfect for rainy days, or simply rekindling with the wife :) I honestly look forward to each and every visit!

My request to the taxi driver to drop me off at Kark Chaii fell in deaf ears and I got dropped off at Chaiiwala, Luton, another Indian food joint with possibly a similar concept. I was keen on trying Bhel puri, a savourcy snack (served at Karak Chaii) from the streets of Mumbai and nothing could have changed my mind. After a trek of nearly half a mile (good 12 minute walk) through a subway and streets of Luton town center, I was able to spot Karak Chaii. The fast food place is situated in the hustle bustle of Bury Road. I could sense my taste buds for Bhel puri growing stronger.I was welcomed by the friendly smiling manager. When the manager came to know of my first visit to Karak Chaii, I was given an opportunity to try their Karak Coffee. Yes, Coffee was recommended, over a Chaii. Later, manager shared his nostalgic experience of India and relieving his tired body with a Karak Coffee. Sure, indeed, coffee was authentic, a true taste of coffee served in Kerala.I was however, disappointed as Bhel puri was not being served at the time of visit. I was not going to let myself down so easily and settled for Veg Thali - served with rice, chapati, choice of 2 curriers, pickles, mint sauce and Aloo Tikki - The desi hash brown. The restaurant is beautifully designed for fast food environment with artificial flowers on one side of the wall and a mirror facing this. The ceiling was a display of Karak Chaii in different languages.Overall, Karak Chaii was a good first time visit for the service provided.Total Spent:Veg Thaali: £9.95Aloo Tikki: £4.25Karak Coffee (large): £3.50Vegetarian options: The restaurant has a good vegetarian options such as Hara Bara Roll, Veg Thaali, Pakora bites, Samosa Chat, Aloo tikki, Dal Roll, Daal and Paratha, Lassi Saag and Paratha
