Recently visited here to meet a friend with the kiddies for Lunch. Great atmosphere, affordable prices. Manager Hollie was so accommodating and patient with us, as I forgot to mention we had prams (my fault) on the booking notes. Sat us on a bigger table- which helped massively. Thank you so much!

Haven't been here in a few years due to previous health issues. I took my Mum for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The carvery was as I remembered, delicious! Mum had the fish and chips and said it was just the right size for a lady in her twilight years.Service was a little slow but it wasn't an ordeal as we weren't pushed for time... It was also the middle of the afternoon so I'm guessing there was a slight wind down and prep for the evening shift in progress behind the scenes..All in all a pleasant visit. We will be back at some point, if only to take advantage of the Fish Friday offer..

Very cosy place ? with a subdued environment. The drinks were reasonably priced and the service was excellent. The food was palatable and not exceptional. They has a shortage of beef when we arrived but other cooked meats made up for the shortfall. The turkey is worth a mention as it was succulent and tasty. The only let down was the vegetables which were a bit stewed. However, nice intimate atmosphere made up for any shortcomings.

The staff were great, they really looked after us. We had a lovely evening eating and drinking until closing time. Food was good, not all meats were available that evening but they compensated us with the other available meat. Definitely will go again.

The location & the actual interior are lovely and a very good vibe. The food was just covered in salt, the potato’s, the vegetables, the stuffing & gravy! It’s just pure salt, it actually make us feel a bit sick. The meat was tasteless & dry. At least the drinks were nice. Also had children playing with electric remote control cars, which I nearly tripped over with my child in my arms, they all saw this and did nothing. And then another child with their shoes off doing cartwheels around the place?? Why are staff not stopping this! How dangerous.

Have reviewed previously and improved for a while but have to say today was disappointing as the veg are seriously undercooked and I left half of mine on the plate couldn't even cut the cauliflower stalk much less eat it. Just want some consistency and a well cooked lunch!

Me, my partner, little one who is only 1. Go near enough every Sunday maybe a odd day in the week. Always have lovely service with a smile, tho might be down to my son always flirting with staff ? food has always been good standard, what you would expect from a chain restaurant. Don't have anything except carvery and desserts so wouldn't be able to comment on menu really. Tho the manager does make one good coffee with baileys.

I wouldn't recomend this place . We arrived the place was empty That should have been our first warning sign. The carpet was soaked and squelching up with water when walked on due to a leak . That should have been the second warning sign . We went up to order food and my first choice wasn't availible so I ordered fish and chips . It wasn't edible the fish was soggy wet and bland , in my not so professional option I'd say it was microwaved not fried , I told the manger who instead of refunding for the meal said they would give complimentary deserts., After the meal deserts were ordered , and then the bill arrived for the complimentary deserts .I said that the bill doesn't add up I got a very confusing explanation and then charged, upon looking at receipt we were charged for a desert we didn't even get as they were not in stock . I pointed this out and was then refunded the £5.29 I remember the exact amount as it was basically thrown at me.. I'm still convinced that we paid for a meal we didn't get Appauling customer service , just glad to be out of there

Treated myself and the family to a cheeky midweek Carvery and I was sooo pleased I did. The food was, as usual, delicious AND we were spoiled by the offer of 50%off our mains. What more could you possibly want? The offer must have been popular as the restaurant was very busy with a steady stream of hungry customers all being greeted with a warm welcoming smile and the smell of that amazing roast. Well done and Thank you to all the staff both serving and cooking but a huge thank you to Megan for helping the golden oldies back to their tables with their plates full. It is the little touches that make the difference!!

I held my 18th birthday last weekend at the moat house and had an amazing time! It was Karris’s first time serving behind the bar upstairs and she smashed it. She was lovely and got on with everyone at the bar. Thank you moat house for a great night!
