Food was great. The staff were lovely but the service was a little on the slow side, not their fault as they seemed very busy.

We had our Christmas dinner here at 2 pm Christmas day... My family of 6 adults and 5 young people had an excellent time... The food was excellent, and the service was second to none... The young lady (whose name was Alisha) was both personable and professional, and looked after our every need!!!!

Wasn’t expecting the ritz but this wasn’t a good dinner. Our table was in the main walkway when the place was 90% empty and loads of other tables we could’ve been sat at. We didn’t have a waitress? Had to ask for drinks several times. Ate with my coat on as was so cold. And the food was very very lacklustre. Wouldn’t have known to put car reg in the tablet if my family didn’t tell me. Asked for the birthday cake 3 times I think. Never checked up on. Served non vegan butter with a vegan starter.

Enjoyed a lovely meal with a party of 10 friends. All the servers were friendly and attentive. Good menu choices. The food was served promptly and was hot and tasty. Would recommend!

Warm and inviting and our server Milly made us feel welcome. Despite some items not being available on the menu, what we did have was great.

After more than one hour waiting time for food, though I called 15 minutes before to confirm reservation, no one bothered to inform me at the time, I found not one but three hairs in my food hidden under my gammon steak.I have called the waitress to show, but other than apologise and saying she will inform the kitchen, she's done nothing. So I have decided to ask for the manager, which fair enough she took that meal off my bill but no the disgust, disappointment and the willingness to never return to Beefeater.

We went as a family of 5 for Christmas Day lunch. Food was fabulous and piping hot. Staff were exceptional didn’t get the name of our waitress unfortunately but she was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and will be back in the New

Absolutely dreadful. Despite being about 25% full, the service is terrible. The member of staff who took our very simple order for mains and soft drinks behaved like he'd never seen a till before. Needless to say the order was incorrect, so my wife had to correct it and get a partial refund. NO APOLOGY OFFERED..Customer ahead of us also had her order taken wrongly and was also served with wine in a dirty glass. Drink swapped but absolutely NO APOLOGY OFFERED.Mains arrived and were still wrong. NO APOLOGY OFFERED.Ordered deserts (with some trepidation, given the shambles experienced thusfar). Forty minutes later, no deserts so gave up and asked for a refund. Guess what....NO APOLOGY OFFERED.It's not just that the staff are not managing diners' expectations by explaining there is a delay (despite the place still being far under capacity), but the staff themselves simply do not care, certainly none of the four we had the misfortune to encounter. Two hours and 20 minutes to receive main course, and for our patience to run out with missing deserts. If you're thinking of eating here, feed your pets and tell your neignbours not to worry if they don't see you again for some time.In the words of Captain Lawrence Edward Grace "Titus" Oates, Antarctic explorer “I am just going outside and may be some time”!Personal Observation: I honestly don't understand why anyone chooses to work in the hospitality industry if they don't want to provide even the most basic level of courtesy and service? At this time of year, it can be difficult to come up with a new year's resolution, but thank you Beefeater - you've definitely given me one. It's only a shame there's no option to leave zero stars.

Finally we have a chef in the kitchen that can cook a steak. Food was much better than my previous visit about 1 year ago. Just need to pay a bit more attention at the bar.....wait time can be 5-10 minutes depending on time of day.

Looked after by Sam who was brilliant, cheerful and a credit to your team! Food was very nice also. Bit of a wait at the entrance to be seen too was the only negative if you can call it that. (5mins)

Booked a table for 4 for dinner at this restaurant by telephone only to find that they had already closed their kitchen an hour and a half earlier! Totally wasted trip and left me and my family without any good way of getting reasonable food for dinner. Really it is their telephone booking system that is responsible for the terrible experience, so nothing against the staff that work there. But - if after trying to telephone to confirm availability on the number given on their website, you then have an automatic system than answers in place of a human being, that then accepts a booking because it doesn't actually know when the restaurant is open, then this is the consequence. Lesson learned - don't ever trust their booking system.

Had georgette as our server, wonderful service throughout. She was great with bringing us the food and up to date on the menu which is a perk . Also very polite and a credit to the team . Georgette looked after a member of our party who had a lactose allergy and handled it like a pro . Would give 10 stars if I could!!! Great asset to the Brache Griffin Esu scouts

Very disappointed with the food last night. My husband had fish and chips, I had steak...my meal was cold so sent it back my husband had virtually finished his meal when mine came back... chips were hot steak tom and mushrooms cold, so it was like eating alone. Very bad service staff looked as they really didn't want to be there. Also the restaurant was quiet cold. Then a party of about 20/30 decided to leave and pay separately and queued behind our table bumping into our chairs and blocking kitchen doors. A very bad experience and I doubt that we will ever go back

Very slow disjointed service due to lack of staff. Food ok. We were a large group which had pre booked food choices so no excuse for poor service. Presentation of food was non existent and unprofessional- gravy in catering size plastic jug. Assumptions made re coffee required with pre ordered dessert no choice given so drinks sent back. Sides came out 15 minutes after main meals. We expect more and better from Beefeater!
