A great local pub with the best ales in town. The beer is very well kept and reasonably priced. The staff as friendly and the atmosphere is in keeping with the traditional old feel of the pub. The beer/cider festival held here is also definitely worth the visit.

I didn't eat so can't comment, what I did see was fresh home cooked and looked good.Live music was great.Good atmosphereGood selection of non alcoholic beer which was handy as I was driving. If it had a negative it would be the lack of Guinness, had I not been driving and there to see the music act, I probably would have left as I am a Guinness drinker. The Stout on offer wouldn't have cut it for me.Shame as it was an otherwise perfect pub!

This locals pub has sadly deteriorated since being taken over recently, but is still a lovely little 'local'

Very friendly, lots of real ale choices. Pub much nicer than in recent years, needs to be given another try.

Came here for a spur of the moment evening drink, as my neighbour used to drink here regularly before he passed away.Recently taken over by new management and it's really benefitted from it.All the staff are friendly and helpful, the selection of drinks available is nothing short of impressive but I'm unfortunately yet to try one of their pizzas which I have been told are truly amazing. If you manage to come while they have it on tap, be sure the try "the two Shannon's" a white stout, very drinkable and has a wonderful story behind it too.Keep up the great work team, look forward to seeing you again.Parking: There are 2 small car parks at the rear, which are gravel. There is also parking on the opposite side of the road and a town car park just around the corner.

Pop in every now and again, recently had new landlords who seem to be doing well, place kept clean and well run certainly a good choice of ales and spirits and tried the white stout ( opinion still out on that). Friendly locals always worth a pop in if your in the area.

Best real ale pub in the area bar none.

Very pleasant and friendly atmosphere. New manager and staff had only been there a few days, but they were as accommodating as possible. Will be back.
Great place for a nice pint ? at a very reasonable price ? ? ?

Only pub in town that knows how to keep and sell draught ales.
