Very dissapointing experience. We have been passing by and visited The Boot as it looks quite nice from the outside, and the reviews seemed quite good. Unfortunately, the food and service were very disappointing. As much as the pizza was decent, the other ordered dishes left us very dissatisfied, Mushrooms with camembert were spilling water and goncci with bolognese sauce looked like someone was sick on the plate and full of grease. The food was left uneaten on the plate, and we have mentioned to the waiting staff that this simply looks and tastes disgusting. The waitress told us that she would ask the manager to handle the situation. He came around saying that this is how it should look (please see attached), and we have to pay the full bill. We were happy to pay for the pizza, but not for this ?

After reading the other reviews, I was looking forward to visiting The Boot. When we arrived, there was no where to park, as the car park is small. We walked in and were sat next to a large, loud, drunk group. My friend and I were trying to catch up and we couldn't hear each other speak. The waiting staff seem inexperienced and ignored smaller groups. We waited a long time to order food, then again to order dessert, and again for the bill and to pay. We ended up paying at the bar as we were fed up of waiting. The food was average and looked nothing like the other photos in the reviews. I had meatballs with spaghetti and a tomato sauce. The meatballs were really nice, but the tomato sauce had no flavour. It was really bland; something I could make from a jar at home. Overall it was a quite disappointing visit. Maybe it was just the date and time that we went, but unfortunately I'm not going to return to determine if this is the case.

Delicious wholesome cooked flavoursome food, good value, good selection of drinks, would definitely recommend for a mid week dinner. Good selection for vegetarians.Vegetarian options: Good pizza and pasta options.

Enjoyable birthday meal for my daughter and her friends. They all enjoyed their pizzas, as did the adults enjoy their meals too. Tiramisu lovely as always. Thank you to Giovanni, Gianluca and the Boot team.

Great local Restaurant, food is amazing, service is great. Menu updated for 2024 with two amazing new puds freshly made in the Pub Family owned with food ‘Mamma used to make’ no frills just excellent quality served traditionally Would highly recommended for all especially Families with Children
