There are no savoury items for vegans on the menu and no offer to try and find something suitable from the staff. Please consider revising your menu to have at least one item

We came for coffee, was good. There is also a nice garden

We didn't have a great experience here we came for lunch but everything was disorganised. We had to request milk for the tea twice - there was no sugar for the coffee when the food came there were no napkins or cutlery abd tbh we couldn't be bothered to ask again as it was embarrassing. I honestly felt at £30 I am fed up of paying good money for mediocre food and bad service. I honestly won't be back

We enjoyed a meal in the hotel bar and coffee and desert in the cafe. Beautiful location, garden, and fabulous food. Well worth a stop along the way or as a destination.Dietary restrictions: Gf available

A really lovely location and setup, was understaffed when we went for a morning coffee so we had a long wait, but we weren't in a hurry was not really a problem. After a walk in the stunning surrounding area enjoyed a lager in the garden?

Great coffee and amazing panini. A regular bike ride stop for us.

Six walkers arrived for a late lunch and enjoyed paninis, salads and soup. We were well looked after. We experienced none of the negative comments posted earlier this year.

I'm giving 2 stars as we arrived at 12.45 pm to be told lunch had finished at 12.30!!! So could have cake & coffee only. That would have been ok ish but there was only 1 piece of cake to be had. I asked if they could do us some toast as we had come from Newbury to be told No so hence 2 stars. Never know anywhere that stops lunch at 12.30.

Such a shock to see the beautiful gardens dug up. That garden was a sanctuary for all sorts of insects and small mammals. Environmental vandalism.

Popped in with a friend on a cold day, when we visited a few weeks ago on a cold day it was very cold with no heating on, when we said how cold it was the waitress said the heating was broken but managed to find a small electric heater which she plugged in and switched on, still very chilly. We returned last week expecting the heating to have been fixed by now, it was an even colder day and still no heating - the waiter was wearing a thick overcoat! We saw the electric heater at the side of the room and asked if we could plug it in, he then explained that wasn’t working either, all he had to warm the entire place was a very small fan heater behind the counter. Be buttoned up our coats and ordered 2 hot chocolates, they arrived but were hardly even warm, we then ordered a portion of chips which tasted as if they were the dregs of the friar, we then ordered another portion and were told the kitchen had closed - it was just coming up to two o’clock. As we were still peckish we ordered two pieces of different cakes, both were disappointing and didn’t taste fresh, we both left half of them. Sadly yet another disappointing visit to the bakery, it should be so good but more often than not is pricey and sub-standard.

My wife and I called in for coffee and cake. There were two young ladies serving. Three tables had other customers and 11 tables had dirty dishes on them. One girl served us the other stood around. A waitress brought our drinks, set them on the table, off her tray, and then walked away. Did she take any dirty dishes from the tables surrounding us, NO, never entered her head. We’d even had to clear onto the next table when we sat down so that table had quite a pile of dishes, but she obviously never noticed, And now the most appalling thing. Just before we left a young couple with a baby sat at the next table, it had dirty dishes on it. They had obviously ordered food and drinks as a young man brought them on a tray a few minutes later. Amazingly he deposited their drinks on the table and left the dirty dishes, we could not believe it. First is this the pride a young person has in doing a job, even if it is waiting on tables which is a very respectable role, these days. Or, is this because of the training given to them by the Honesty Management Team Either way this is totally unacceptable
