Outstanding food and service, excellent hospitality and a friendly welcome. Big fan of local pubs allowing dogs and working hard to create events and social.

We were at The Ibex for a Christmas meal when my daughter fell ill. The Ibex were so accommodating in boxing up our mains for us which were delicious even when we got home 30 minutes later. We will be returning again to enjoy The Ibex properly in the new year but tonight the food was delicious and the service was above and beyond. Thank you.

Just had the real pleasure of staying at this gem of a place. Lovely warm welcome on arrival, fantastic quiet, comfortable room with every amenity necessary . Food here is a real credit to the chef, gorgeous evening meal and absolutely brilliant breakfast which set me up for the day. Bar staff where lovely with nothing too much for them, and the local community very welcoming whilst in the pub. Thank you all for a great stay it was much appreciated and I will definitely return. I stayed here for two nights on business. The pub is situated in a very pretty village. The bedroom in the main building was spacious, and had a lovely decor with a great bathroom. The pub itself has a huge selection of beers and the food was fantastic. I can highly recommend the belly pork it was stunning. The beef pie I had the next night was also excellent. Nathan and Gavin are great hosts and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Looking forward to visiting again.

First time I had visited this establishment for many years and was very pleasantly surprised at what I found today lunchtime.A warm welcome, shown to a choice of table, menus and drinks served promptly and an excellent menu it was too.My friend chose the pork belly, I had the Steak & Guiness pie, both prepared to order and served piping hot after a few minutes. Both selections were excellent, well cooked and presented and very tasty.A good dessert menu was very difficult to select from, the apple crumble with ice cream was again of good quality taste and size.Well signposted from surrounding country roads I can recommend The Ibex for lunch and or dinner and will return soon

This place isn't on the main road but a very pleasant drive off to a pretty village. Very good welcome by the manager and staff.Room of a fair size. Clean, good bedding and towels in a modern On-suite bathroom. The pub has a real ale award and a small but good selection of wines and spirits.Dinner menu had a good variety, cooked and presented well. Breakfast was good as well offering not only full English, but lighter dishes as well. Newbury and other other attractions are about 40 minutes away, depending on your chosen route.Car Park, sunny garden .Minor downs. No mirror for makeup, ag plugs for hairdryer, although there are mirrors and sockets in the room. It wasn't a big problem for a short stay.

First visit, travelled from Wantage....We eat the steak pie which was piping hot, tasty with a sumptuous pastry and gravy and the Haddock, both were outstanding as was the Octoberfest dark ale. Well done The

What a gem of a place. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff, wonderful wine list and gorgeous food. Only complaint was there was too much to choose from on the menu!! Definitely be back.

It’s a shame that this business aligns itself with the Vine & Craven Hunt. As with all hunt’s they break the law and kill foxes, block badger setts and terrify local wildlife.Avoid if you like animals alive.
