Staff friendly and we were served very quickly, unfortunately when my chicken,bacon and mozzarella baguette melt arrived it was very poor with hardly no bacon, chicken or mozzarella in the baguette, I cannot say it was the price I paid, the cappuccino was nice, will not return for the food.

I have been to this cafe on a handful of occasions to take early morning calls and whilst waiting for shops to open.At all times, the staff have been courteous and attentive. I have not tasted their delicious looking breakfasts but they seem to get good feedback.With 8 other locations in the environs, they are doing something right as an independent!

Visited recently for the first time and was impressed, no long queues after placing your order like in Costa etc, all staff are young and very helpful & pleasant. This is how a cafe should be run, Yesterday visited the Reading Cafe, same level of service received, we had to amend our order after sitting down, it was no problem for them at all and we were made to feel again nothing is too much trouble. Got home and looked into the Company, they focus on employing the right people & training them. Well done for doing this, your doing the right thing from the top down to the shop floor, If there’s a Boswells near me wherever I am that’s where I will be spending my money. ??

I mean Boswells is Boswells. Consistency is king! But sometimes you like that. I usually go for a good priced tasty breakfast. I like Newbury more than most because the team there are always friendly, chatty and know there regulars.
