Impressive. Absolutely outstanding food. I enjoyed the garlic chicken with mushroom rice, and my partner had the keema rice and a lamb dish which was aptly lean and tender. Hot, tasty, good portions. Peshwari naan - also incredible - the best naan I've had in Newbury and this is the forth curry place I've been to.The service was excellent: the manager has a real passion for his business and is suitably hospitable to his guests. It was a relaxed atmosphere and the dining area is very clean.Delighted to have gone here this Friday evening. Please do visit - it's a fantastic restaurant to support.

After a few recommendations i decided to give the taj a whirl and wow! So glad i did. The food was like a breath of fresh air compared to the usual I’ve been used to.. curries tasted they were made with love and authenticity ! Great portions and wonderful spice throughout each dish ! It was like going back to India ! Staff are lovely kind and will definitely return .. 5 star
