No body in when u walked in . Ordered fish n chips twice ..waited bout 5 mins . Then heard chopping ...only just putting in our chips . Must have been in easily 15 mins . Fish batter was soggy. Not even sure if it was cod..didn't taste like it . Chips were nice .price not to bad £ 9 each . Wouldnt go back but was hungry so....

The best burgers I have tasted in Newbury 10/10 tasty hot cooked to perfection. Highly recommend anyone who likes burgers to try these from avon fish barThe double cheese and bacon is the best

Previously food has been very good & piping hotNormally cooked to orderHowever tonight was a different storyShop is normally rammed on a Friday evening but only 3 customers when I arrived just before 7Fish was precooked & not up to usual standard & chips were like warmHope it’s not a sign of it becoming the normReturned this week & asked if they would cook fish fresh for me which was no bother at all they even offered to double wrap to ensure food stayed hotSo top marks well done

The food is actually pretty good, Shame on a couple of occasions that the lady behind the till has short changed us and we’ve had to make them aware. Also on multiple occasions we have asked for large chips, charged us for large but only been given small portions.The gentleman that works there has been really good and apologised and sorted us out.But the couple of mishaps have made us decide not to come back.
Have not had a problem here for the last few visits. The chips are really good with a decent potion size. The battered sausages have crispy batter. The kids tell me that the kebab meat on the chips with all the salad is awesome. Never had to wait too long for the food. There is unfortunately a minimum charge of £5 to pay by card.

After looking online to find somewhere locally who did GF food, we found this place which listed online they did gluten free fish and chips and upon asking when I went in I was told with a smile "yeh we don't do that".Great, thanks.Dietary restrictions: They don't do what their website says
