What a lovely place! I dropped in on my own for a takeaway and ended up sitting down for a warm saki whilst I waited - which was honestly one of the nicest alcoholic drinks I’ve ever had! The staff we so welcoming and friendly, but most importantly, the sushi was also delicious.

Below underwhelming. Had a crab remake which was ok. Gyoza which were below average and karaage which was bad (like breaded chicken nuggets from Tesco’s value section). I must have gone on an off day because the other reviews seem to be great

Anticipation was high. Not quite sure how this restaurant has so many 5* reviews. Staff were amenable and helpful. The ambience was lacking. The food? It was edible but I don't believe for one minute that their sushi is freshly made on site, so obviously bought in from a wholesaler. Disappointed and expensive.

Fantastic sushi (tempura prawn & crab). So tasty. Lovely staff. Very friendly and attentive. Lovely decor too: amazing original paintings, cherry blossoms...all felt very authentic. Highly recommended!

We ordered a variety of dishes for delivery. It was delicious, delivered on time and communication about the order was exceptional. The sushi was smooth and silky, fresh and well made. My husband was very pleased with his choice of birthday meal. Thank you. We'll be ordering again soon.

Great spot for sushi and of course for my favourite crispy rolls in town. Yummy. I do like to go but the place is a bit tinny and prices are not on low side. A part that it is a great spot for a date night.

Such a lovely place. We went here on a whim and were so pleasantly surprised by how nice it was! Try the "chef surprise me" platter - we loved it so much we ordered 2 and both were different each time. A perfect way to try new flavours, and it's affordable too!Dietary restrictions: They were so good about my allergies - there was absolutely no issue catering for them. They have gluten free options, vegetarian and vegan options on the menu as well.

This is such a great place in Newbury. The sushi is a reasonable price, often cheaper than Waitrose. The restaurant is beautifully decorated by local artist Sian. Most of the servers are super friendly. We've never had a bad experience there. We usually go for the special because it gives us such a great variety. And we ALWAYS get the edamame.

We absolutely love this restaurant! It's by far the best sushi we've had anywhere, even compared to much more expensive sushi places we've been to in London. In comparison Sushi Maki is much more reasonably priced. Service is always friendly and speedy too. We've been here a number of times and never been disappointed - highly recommend!
